use a straightner it doesnt take that long if u only do the top layer of ur hair

Hair help..........?

curly hair, natural curly hair, is very sexy. why not wear it down and let it be WILD.

Hair help..........?

use a conditionerto keep it from getting puffy and use a good straightener. there's one that has little bristle like things on it. it makes your hair extra soft

Hair help..........?

Maybe a half ponytail, bun, try some accessories like a scrunchie or bracelets are good too.

Hair cut and color for long brunette hair?

I have long brunette hair that is a little past halfway down my back. It's starting to bore me as I've been trying to just grow it out for the past couple years. Any one have any ideas for hair color and cuts that would look good?

These are the best pics I could find of my hair recently

I would like my hair to STAY long I'm thinking more like different styles of bangs and such. Thanks!

Hair cut and color for long brunette hair?

Get layers and get side swept bangs. They look good on about everyone. And trim your hair about a few inches past your shoulders.

Hope you enjoy your new look :)

Hair Relaxer?

Yesterday I went to the hair cuttery to get my hair relaxed. This was my fourth time getting my hair relaxed. The first time I got it done it was at a different hair cuttery but I the stylist gave me chemical burn on my ears and neck because she didn't do it right. Then I went to a place called the bobby pin twice which did a good job. Ten ut %26amp; style which did a good job and then back to the hair cuttery a different one. Well every time I have had the treatment done other than the itching and the chemical burn that one time It was fine. But this go around I Couldn't even finish the treatment because it burned so bad. It has never burned. It felt like someone held a blow torch to my head. Is this right I am not sure.

Hair Relaxer?

Hey, my mom is a hair stylist. well relaxers contain chemicals that can damage the skin and your scalp if it's sensitive, it may burn a little but if it burns to the point it becomes extremely painful.. eh thats obviously not a good sign. all I can say is DO NOT scratch your scalp or wash your hair previously before a relaxer. that causes it to burn and even leave scabs on your scalp.. eck. plus your hair gets washed when they relax it anyway. also I reccomend getting a relaxer every other month. and never go for the strongest one (ex. thick hair, etc etc) and look for ones that say "No Lye" always becuase that chemical tends to cause more damage and can cause the hair to break. relaxers can dry the crap outta your hair too so use a deep conditioner for your hair as well as your scalp every week. hope I helped !

Hair Relaxer?

hair relaxer contains lye, i would suggest taking time between relaxings, go to sally's and get hair silk

Hair Relaxer?

you should relax your hair every six weeks cos so as not to damage your scalp and hair....and when you relax don't comb your hair cos that scatches the stil fragile scalp just use your fingers throughout the whole process and your hair will be looking nice and not frizzy

Hair Relaxer?

You either irrated your scalp, prior to relaxing, or the relaxer strength was too strong, the hair dresser did not put enough protective gel along your hair line and ears area.

Hair straightener help!?

my hair is a little bit wavy %26amp; kind of straight as it is but i always straighten it anyways cuz i like my hair to be pin straight. i don't need expensive hair straighteners like the chi's to get the job done, but i absolutely hate split ends %26amp; dead hair [who doesn't] i was just wondering, if i want no split ends or dead hair should i buy an expensive straightener such as the chi or just get a cheap straightener with a good heat protector? please help!

Hair straightener help!?

both...

a chi and spray protecter works wonders

Hair straightener help!?

get GHD ones

Hair straightener help!?

everyone always says that if you want straight AND healthy hair, you need to buy a chi

don't listen to that. that may be true for someone with really curly and unruly hair, but definately not for you

just get a ceramic straightener, that way its not damaging your hair too much. you can get a good ceramic flat iron for about 30-40 dollars. buy a straightening spray or lotion to put on your hair before straightening, and that will also keep your hair shiny and healthy.

goodluck!:)

Hair straightener help!?

well yes, CHI is the best out there to me but you dont have to get that one. go to sallys beauty supply store. i bought one from there and it works great for me. i have very thick, wavy hair and on top of that its frizzy. remember to use a protector and a good shampoo/conditioner. get a trim to lose some of those split ends! also try a garnier fructis product. i forgot the name but they sell it at drug stores. it helps with split ends, and it really works!!! try not to flat iron your hair everyday! its not good!! goodluck!!!

Hair straghtener 4 a guy?

I have really frizzy hair and need something that I won't need 2 use everyday that will keep my hair lying down flat. I also have some dandruff, but I keep it in check with dandruff shampoo. I need something that won't react with theanti-dandruff stuff. When I take a shower, my hair looks like the hair on my avatar, only a little longer in the front. I'm going 2 go get it cut just a little, so I figured I would just get something that would keep it straight while I was there. My hair is black and I am mixed middle eastern and Pakistani, if it matters. Plz don't post any answers like get it cut or looks don't matter. thnx in advance.

Hair straghtener 4 a guy?

It sounds like maybe your hair is curly? If it is, you should rock it! Curly hair on a guy is super-sexy! I would suggest a little hair gel scrunched in and then let it air-dry. You could also check out the message boards at www.naturallycurly.com. There are mostly women there, but a few guys too. You can ask your questions there and get TONS of tips!

Hair straghtener 4 a guy?

that's soo girlie why not shave your head instead of having to deal with it???

Hair straghtener 4 a guy?

is your name cameron and are you from baton rouge?

Hair straghtener 4 a guy?

wear a baseball hat

Hair straghtener 4 a guy?

usually gel would work.

Hair straghtener 4 a guy?

John Frieda hair serum. It's awesome. It gets rid of all the frizz it's an incredible product I use it every day.

Hair straghtener 4 a guy?

you can get a chemicly straightin at the solon it last for lik 3 months or so also if u get revolons wet to straight $36.00 u can straighten ur hair after the shower thats the best for ur dandruff and if u dont plan to wash ur hair everydy (whashing evryday causes more dandruff) it will still be straight.

Hair straghtener 4 a guy?

yeah i like get rid of the locks or get a defrizzing thing with dandfruff control too (shampoo)

Getting My Hair Permenetly Straightened!?

I Wanna Get My Hair Permenetly Straightened But I Dont Know If Its Worth It Or Not. My Hair Is Naturaly Curly And I Want To Know, If I Get My Hair Permenetly Straightened And I Go In A Pool And Get My Hair Wet, Would It Be Straightened Or A Little Wavy After It Dried? Some Hair Stylists Say That Even If You Get Your Hair Permenetly Straightened And You Get It Wet It Will Be A Little Wavy And Then You Have To Sraighten It Yourself. Is Getting My Hair Done Worth It?

Getting My Hair Permenetly Straightened!?

I would suggest getting your hair straightened permanently only if you straighten your hair every day now. If you leave your hair curly sometimes then don't get it permanently straightened because it is very damaging to the hair. Plus curly hair looks pretty! Straight hair can look great too, but you can always just use a flat iron with heat spray. My cousin got her hair permanently straightened and it is straighter than her natural curls, but not stick straight. She still has to go over it every day with a flat iron for it to look neat and not sloppy.Hope this helps!

Getting My Hair Permenetly Straightened!?

yeah

Getting My Hair Permenetly Straightened!?

My mom said your hair will dry straight.

i have hair 4-5" past my shoulders so its kinda long, could i get my hair cut like that? is it possible? dont tell me to bring the picture to the salon, i already know that,. will the hair come out the same if i cut it to look like i have extensions?

Hair cut to look like i have extensions? [pics]?

yea it looks like she has extensons OR her hair was very long and she got top layers got shorter than the rest of her hair you wouldnt need extensions....good luck=D

Hair cut to look like i have extensions? [pics]?

I think it's her hair but you can never tell nowadays, but that hair hot!

Straitening Hair?

I have chemically straitened hair, my hair is naturally thick, somewhat healthy, and very very strong. The dark side of this is that my natural hair is growing out and it's very curly, at this point all it is doing is adding volume (which I absolutely hate) and on days I want perfectly straight hair I have to go and straighten almost every piece to reduce volume, (and this takes about 2.5 hours with a bunch of products, a ceramic hair straightener, a brush, and a blow dryer) I have short lower jaw lengthened hair, this makes straitening the back a challenge (also, getting it cut or thinned is not an option, I very recently got that done).

So I am looking for a product that can help me get something that looks like this:

http://i13.tinypic.com/2uh4vhj.gif

To go as close as it can to this (and shorten the process):

http://i16.tinypic.com/4cnm05j.jpg

Any suggestions?

Straitening Hair?

Use pantene smooth and sleek or pantene extra liso. use fantasia frizz buster. mabye get a new iron like FHI or Paul Mitchell. Also ask a black salon they should help you.

Straitening Hair?

Go to the salon and tell them your problem. They'll probably give you a product to help and show you how to do your hair like that better. And maybe straigten your hair so it stays like that for a while.

Hair in my dog's eye?

I just noticed hair inside my dog's eye. Yes her pupil or the cornea.. whatever.. the black part. She got hair on both eyes. It's not a peice of hair, it's like a few hair in a hairball stuck in one but very flat. I rubbed one of her eyes, and the furball disapearred it probably went behind her eye or the side of her eye, or not very far. Anyways it doesn't seem to hurt her I don't tihnk she doesn't complain about it, nor does she bark when I rub it.. she's completely fine with it. I was just wondering is there long term effects? or any damage at all? Is it normal to have hair caught in their eyes? She is a pomeranian.. she sheds. And how will I remove it?

Hair in my dog's eye?

Inside the eye BALL?

Well, I don't know how that's possible, but you cannot remove this by yourself, you need a veterinarian.

I've seen dogs that have small worms/parasites inside of the eye.

Hair in my dog's eye?

dogs are genetically developed to endure eye hair because they don't have thumbs.

Hair in my dog's eye?

Her own tear ducts should react to remove it. Keep watch on her eyes over the next few days. If you see any irritation or issues, take her to your vet. Otherwise I wouldn't worry about it. :)

Hair in my dog's eye?

I recomend removing eyeballs for cleaning. Take em out, spary the with DW40 to get all the rust off, send them with fine sand paper, 600. Then buff em. Oh and don't forget to lubriacte eye socket before you put the back in.

Hope that helps.

Hair in my dog's eye?

I think I know what you're talking about!! I've only seen it one time and the vet called it a dermoid.

This is the only picture of it that I could find, but is this it?

http://www.provet.co.uk/health/diseases/...

Not that my answer is helping you at all (I apologize) but at least with the medical name, you could do some research. I would consult an eye specialist if it becomes bothersome.

Hair in my dog's eye?

Ignore the bad posts- sorry about them. Take your dog to the nearest vet- it could be more than just hair. At any rate, they can take it out. She may have some kind of problem, tho...

Hair in my dog's eye?

Well, if you do see the hair in your dog's eye, you should grab a tissue and try to get it out that way and maybe blow on your dog's eye might help too. But if it went behind her eye, when your dog goes to sleep, the hair should come out in that stuff that we call "eye boogers" or "eye sand from the sand man" whe she wakes up.

Hair in my dog's eye?

You can try flushing the eyes out with saline solution. Wipe out the hair ball with a saline soaked soft cotton ball being careful not to scratch the eyeball. Just wipe it towards the outer edge of the eye and it should come out.

I have curly hair, and I always wear my hair up! Should I perm it so that it will be straight?

I am 16 years old and am going to be 17 in two months. I have naturally very curly hair, and when I straighten my hair to wear it out it frizzes up within minutes. I am having thoughts of perming my hair, so that It will be straight, and able to wear out. I hate wearing my hair up, it makes me feel like a little kid. I feel more beautiful and older when it is down BUT about 7 months ago I bleached the back of my hair blonde, so that may be to manu chemicals for my hair to handle, should I still take the risk of perming it?, Or just be stuck forever with healthy curly hair that wont straighten!!! SOMEONE PLZ HELP ME, I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT 2 MORROW TO GET IT DONE AND I DONT WANNA MAKE THE WRONG DECISION AND BE SCARED 4 LIFE!!

I have curly hair, and I always wear my hair up! Should I perm it so that it will be straight?

1. Relax! It's ok. You 16, almost 17! DONT STRESS! Nothing will happen! It's ok! Trust me. I have been frequently dying my hair (every like..3 months) since I was 10 and got Japenesse Straightening every 6 months for years. Nothing has happened. They are not harsh these days.

2. If you feel better with your hair down, why not feel amazingly confiedent with straight, shiny hair?

3. You won't be "Scarred For Life" lol. When I first got it done when I was 11, I was freaking out too. It's not worth the stress. Imagine all the compliments you'll get.

4. Get it out of you mind. It's a natural thing...millions of people are happy with their hair. You will look AMAZING!

Dont worry, and good luck!

I have curly hair, and I always wear my hair up! Should I perm it so that it will be straight?

dont be that girl

I have curly hair, and I always wear my hair up! Should I perm it so that it will be straight?

perming curly hair is not a good decision, trust me been there, done that, won't ever do it again.. try getting it cut shorter.. a good stylist will be able to tell you what cut will look good with naturally curly hair, try a chin length bob, that's what i have with lots of layers... it looks good with the curls

I have curly hair, and I always wear my hair up! Should I perm it so that it will be straight?

You should probably consult your hair stylist for one thing, once you get there tomarrow. I doubt the bleaching should have much effect on it. Perming it would probably do less damage to your hair than using a straightening iron every day, and if you buy some restoring shampoo you should be fine.

I would get the perm, becaue I also have naturally curly hair, but I dont like it curly. It never curls in the same way and you never know if it'll look good or bad. When your hair's straight, you can run your fingers through it, or play with it and brush it, and it's much easier to manage.

I would say go for the perm, girl!

I have curly hair, and I always wear my hair up! Should I perm it so that it will be straight?

You will be fine!

People dye their hair every week and you haven't in 7 months.

I dye my hair and have to straighten it all of the time and my hair isn't damaged at all.

It will stay healthy, just maybe get a little bit dry for a few days.

People who don't actually use hair straightener chemicals say all of this stuff like they know it, so unless someone actually uses it listen to them.

Straighten it, if you have any questions send me a message!

Your hair will come out great, or you can use one at home thats called Radical AntiCurl 3 by RUSK.

I use it at home and its amazing.

I have curly hair, and I always wear my hair up! Should I perm it so that it will be straight?

Dying your hair is one thing, but perming......DON'T!! I'm only saying it from experience. Your hair will eventually dry out so bad that you will be force to cut it all off and start over. The best way is to find a style that works for you. Products are key in making your hair the way that makes you happy too. Try this website www.naturallycurly.com it has sooooo much advice that you will be happy you went there instead of putting unnecessary chemicals in your hair.

I have curly hair, and I always wear my hair up! Should I perm it so that it will be straight?

just leave it natural. straight perms never work right.

Something Is Wrong With My Hair! Its NOT Normal?

im a guy and i have long hair and its long down to my shoulders. but the problem is that on the top of my head, my hair is straight and oily, and as you follow my hair down my head on the side, the hair is all squigly or crooked. what can i do besides use a hair straightener to straighten out my hair? i want it to be straight. when i pull out a pluck of hair off my head, it doesnt look like this _________ it looks more like this _____-^--^__--^---_- like crooked like if you know what i mean. i use head and shoulders dandruff control. and its doesnt work. is there any solution to this? by the way, i do wash my hair everyday.

please dont give me links to other websites for me to read.

also please dont copy and paste.

and for you smart mouths, im already washing my hair and possibly doing anything i know what to do to my hair.

Something Is Wrong With My Hair! Its NOT Normal?

Has your hair always been like that? If so, it's completely natural.

Get a hair relaxer, if you really care.

If it's only recently become squiggly, the most like cause is dryness, or heat damage from blowdrying or straightening. Just use a strengthening shampoo and conditioner, and get your hair trimmed. That should fix it.

Hope this helps!

Something Is Wrong With My Hair! Its NOT Normal?

well i thionk the only way 2 straighten unless its naturally straight..is 2 use an iron and a straightening serum..unless u get it chemically relaxed but noone really dsoe sthat....idk

Something Is Wrong With My Hair! Its NOT Normal?

um try getting a perm to keep it str8. there are perms for guys u kno.

Something Is Wrong With My Hair! Its NOT Normal?

try a smoothing straighening milk (garnier fructis)

Something Is Wrong With My Hair! Its NOT Normal?

You don't have a problem. Your hair is just naturally very oily, and a little wavy. Nothing's wrong.

Something Is Wrong With My Hair! Its NOT Normal?

you're a guy. just forget about it and go get a haircut for pete's sake. try and grow a package

Something Is Wrong With My Hair! Its NOT Normal?

I solved all my hair problems by shaving my head, and I've never been happier.

However, if you are not read to do that, then here is what I recommend:

Spend the money to invest on a visit to a GOOD salon and stylist. NOT Supercuts or Spastic Sam's, but a GOOD salon in your town. The stylist knows how to handle problem hair, and will give you a good cut that will compliment your type of hair. YES, I said "CUT!" Even long hair has to be cut and styled once in a while.

If you want to keep your hair long, then you have to invest in it. Regular salon visits will help you with this. Good luck!

Really stupid hair question!?

My Hair decided to go stupid!

When I was a kid I had stick straight hair, then gradually it became wavier. Then 2 years ago I had my hair straightened and it was great since I have A LOT of hair!

Eventually I had to cut off all the straightened hair, and guess what? My hair turned super curly. Corkscrew tight curls.

This is totally new to me!

Now please don't tell me that I can't change that, because I get that.

I just don't really know what to do with it.

It's shoulder length right now. What the hell do I do? I can't even straighten it. Seriously I can't.

Anyone with curly hair out there, please tell me what to do!!!

Really stupid hair question!?

ok, girl i have that spanish curly hair, soooo yeah and i have alot of hair lol soooo i know what your talking about, when u want bone straight hair or just straighten period, you need to wash and put big to medium sized rollers not small and stay under the dryer for a 1 hour if a little wet stay for another 10 minutes then take the rollers out and blow dry your hair straight and flat iron it and that should be it! lol the hair products to use is sebastians and anything Matrix is best any patene pro V is crappy always condition your hair! so it doenst get dry and dont put too much chemicals in your hair, that just kills your hair as you go...also hair serum is good to moisterize your hair and give it a shiny look...the perfect flat iron is a CHI its really pricey but it gets your as straight as you want, not like the cheap ones! so i hope this helped...if you cant do this yourself ask ur hair stlylist to do all this for you... k! good luck! =]

Really stupid hair question!?

find the right kinds of products to use and then work the curly hair :)

If you really want straight hair again look into thermal reconditioning.

Really stupid hair question!?

style it big! just like j.lo or somethin.

Really stupid hair question!?

Hey!

Changes with hair can be difficult to deal with-so i'll try and help you out as best as i can.

If you're looking for styles, there are plenty of beautiful styles you can do. Try pinning your hair off your face and then just leaving it out, or putting it in a loose side ponytail-curly or wavy side ponytails have a nice look to them. You can also try using cute head bands. Curly hair generally looks better out, and it's better to show off your curls than to hide them away.

Make sure you look after your curls, or they may turn dry or frizzy. Use a suitable shampoo, conditioner and other products. Check out this site for good tips-it's useful and easy to read-http://www.curlyhair.org/ .

And remember that curly hair is gorgeous-lots of women may hundreds of dollars to get their hair looking like yours does. You should be proud!

Really stupid hair question!?

What kind of straightener did you use that didn't do the trick?

If you really can't stand it, you can always professionally straighten it again. That'll last you at least 6 months or so.

Really stupid hair question!?

If your looking for hair styles try looking up some celebrity photos of Keri Russell. She has the curly hair, and I love it.

Really stupid hair question!?

u've treated ur hair enough with chemicals...stop it now and go for very good natural conditioning,

there are many sites on the internet that help u do that

gradually ur hair will become wavy again, dont go for anything which gets u immediate results, as that will surely use chemicals and again spoil ur hair

oil ur hair with coconut or olive oil twice or thrice a week and wash it...even applying henna or aloevera works very good...

hibiscus leaves too are good conditoners

all the best

Really stupid hair question!?

Oh I feel your pain. Im 24 and have struggled with curls for years. Ive learned to embrace my curls. I LOVE THEM...now! lol.

This is what I do.

Get out of the shower....comb thru my hair with a large toothed brush (never use a skinny comb to get thru your curls!)....Part my hair to whichever side Im feeling for the day haha....Flip my head upside down and scrunch with a dry towel...Put in some Aussie mousse (yes, the cheap stuff works well)....Let airdry. I put in some Aussie hairspray before I leave the house.

Thats it :)

Good luck.

Really stupid hair question!?

Just consult your hair stylist and ask why this happened. Buy a ceramic straightening iron. Every time you dry your hair, use the blower that best suits your curly hair. If you want to straight your hair, go to the parlor and rebond or relax your hair.

African American Hair Advice....How can i get a finish look without going to a hairstylist?

I'm African American and I would like to know what can I do to my hair to make it look like I been to salon without even going to one.I get my hair done every 2 weeks but on the 2nd week I wash my hair and my hair looks really dry and it does not have any body in it after i wash my hair .So I would like to know what can i do to create a more finished look at home. Are there some products that i can use or is their something i have to do with the flat iron or curling iron to make my hair have body to it....all races are welcome to answer this question because you may know something about african american hair that i don't know about...thanks...

African American Hair Advice....How can i get a finish look without going to a hairstylist?

girl this is the secret before you flat iron spay hella oil sheen I mean a gang of it then one layer of spritz. you know how when you just come out of the shop and you got that off the hook shine and bounce thats what it does believe me. use that ISOPLUS sheen and that umm dayum i forgot the name of spritz. Dont use the super hold spritz tho use the lightweight one. O yeah paul mitchell got this tea tree spray not only does it smell good it give u that hold without the stiffness. invest in some stove irons about 150 for the stove 70 for the irons that will put u over the top u would never have to go to the shop for nothing but a perm also get a dryen u sit under great for leave in conditions or when you try to get that curly texturized look

African American Hair Advice....How can i get a finish look without going to a hairstylist?

Use the same products as your stylist (Affirm, Mizani, etc.). Ask your stylist to show you how to maintain your style if you wash it before returning to her.

African American Hair Advice....How can i get a finish look without going to a hairstylist?

Pantene for Color is a good washing product but the best is Kera Care. It is pretty expensive but it's worth it, it detangles good also. Both will maintain your hair's body. Try not to use holding sprays and oil sheen. The best gloss is a thin liquid gloss in the bottle that you can squeeze in your hand and rub through you hair. It wont weigh your hair down and it's very light. I always roller set my hair and wear a bonnet or wrap it at night. It's easy to maintain. For a straight look you can just flatiron it. Good luck.

African American Hair Advice....How can i get a finish look without going to a hairstylist?

Your hair lacks moisture! That is why it is too dry. I bet it is brittle and breaking too. It sounds like you need a deep conditioning also on a regular basis. You should deep condition your hair every time you wash it. You are using the wrong products on you hair (that's why it is too soft, I bet you are using the leave in conditioners). You have damaged hair (a relaxer, I bet?) Stop buying that cheap **** and be careful about those chemicals. Please check out this website. I have ordered and used the moisturizer and the conditioner. My hair does not break off like it used to. I also purshased the book, which I ordered from Border's book store because I had a gift card. I use the Apoghee shampoo for damaged hair (purchased at Sally's). Order the conditioning treatment from this website and use it faithfully and wash your hair as suggested in this website -- every three days or at least once a week. Get the book and become informed. We African Americans (men and women) need to learn how to care for our hair and sad to say, sometimes, the beauticians give us bad advice. What works for Caucasians is not what we need. Read the testimonals on this website. Get educated. You may even decide to stop going to the beauty shop. Let me know what you think after reading this website. It is very informative to say the least. The products on this page were created by an African American woman who had the same problems you described. She proves you can grow your hair 6 inches in a year. Oh, also, try taking vitamins for your hair too. You can get those at Sally's. There are various brands, but I used the Follicure.

Stripping Hair with Manic Panic?

My hair is coloured dark brown and i just tried to strip it with L'oreal Paris Supreme Blonde, what happenned was my roots which are my natural color (light brown) went bright blonde and the rest of my hair didnt strip and is still dark brown. I would really like blonde hair! I hear that Manic Panic is amazing for stripping hair? any input? and if i use it do i put it on my roots , or just the darkest areas of my hair, ( everything but my roots). Or is it safe to use it everywhere, if i use it everywhere will the colour be even. roots to tip? I cannot afford to go to the salon, and my hair looks ridiculous.! any suggestions are greatly appreciated:)

Stripping Hair with Manic Panic?

Manic Panic is safe and perfect for stripping hair. I've used Manic Panic and I used a demi dye. It washed out in a little over a month and went back to my normal hair. Go root to tip with a highlight brush, even if you don't do high lights.

Good luck!

Stripping Hair with Manic Panic?

OH BABY you got a mess. You need an actual STRIPER not a color! Color will not lift color! A striper doesnt usually leave the hair all one color either. You might just want to go back dark.

Stripping Hair with Manic Panic?

I straighten and blow dry my hair daily but i dont want it to get ruined help me please!?

i have relaxed wavy hair and i blowdry and straighten my hair every morning. i use biolage shampoo %26amp; conditioner. my stylist gave me this organic stuff for after i straighten my hair, but even with that i find my hair having a lot of static. i have many weird caulics and then my hair has a bump that looks like ive had it in a ponytail but then it flips out weird so i really have no other option then straghtening it. i would wash my hair at night then let it airdry but my hair is to oily to do that because it looks greasy by the end of the school day already. ive been straghtening and blowdrying my hair every morning for about a year and a half, its still pretty healthy, but i just dont want to completely ruin my hair. i just need some advice on how to care for any damage that i have done to my hair and products to keep it from getting damaged in the future. if anyone knows how to treat hair that is greasy at the roots and dry at the tips any advice is greatly appreciated!

I straighten and blow dry my hair daily but i dont want it to get ruined help me please!?

condition your hair!!! They have "masks" for hair and its similar to a facial mask. Take care of your hair before you straighten it and what not.

I straighten and blow dry my hair daily but i dont want it to get ruined help me please!?

preventing damage is also triming it monthly and chaanging hair styles and it will never be messed up i used to bleach my roots every 10 days and stuff and it never messed up i wold have trim and its great. you use recontructor also it works.

Static hair?

My hair always sticks up. when i get ready in the morning i comb my hair and the little baby hairs like to stick up. i already tried to put hair spray on it but it doesnt work. how can i keep the hair from not sticking up without using any hair products?

Static hair?

Any time static shows up it is telling you that your bedroom's air is very dry. As you toss and turn in your sleep, static builds up on your clothes and in your hair. Maybe you could try using a humidifier in your room..doesn't have to be a huge floor unit, but something small to sit on a table and to keep your room gently moist.

When you are done washing your hair, do not blow dry it, but bundle your head in a towel and let the water naturally soak into the towel. Be very gentle when you towel dry your hair..just squeeze your ends if you need to.

Static hair?

use dryer sheets !!! they really do work !!!

Static hair?

gel makes thin hair greasy (and thats the kind that get staticy)

hair spry dosent work unless you put alot on untill its crunchy(i hate it when my hair is crunchy)

the only thing that really works is dryer sheets

Static hair?

Winter season brings static hair. We all hate static hair, and here's the deal. Try deep conditioning your hair once or twice a week. On the other days, use a good daily conditioner, rinse, or detangler. Never over-condition. Once a week, use a clarifying shampoo. Normal shampoos do not remove all the product from your hair, so you use a clarifying shampoo. You can also try putting hair lotion on your hair. Since hair static is caused by a lack of hair moisture, a leave-in conditioner or hair mousse can get rid of static. You should also try brushing with natural bristles, not plastic ones. If you have major static, a great idea is to get a sheet of fabric softener and wipe it across your hair. It helps control frizz as well.

For minor static, take a brush and spray it with hair spray. Brush it through your hair. Static electricity is caused by friction -- both between your comb and your hair, and between individual hairs. Don't comb too often, and use the highest-level conditioner you can without weighing your hair down; a leave-in conditioner might be right for you. (Conditioners coat the hair, providing insulation.) You also can try applying a drop of silicone serum.

I hope this was helpful ~~~~

Good Luck !

My daughter is bracial and her hair is thick and curly?

She will be 10 soon. as I told her many times to take care of her hair like brush and hair lotion every day and night. but she ingore caring her hair end up clog up back of her hair because she don't brush it. so I had to take care of it and she won't let me brush her hair because it's hurts. I told her your hair is break at the end because all clog up and not putting hair lotion on her hair. is there any other idea? I am planing take her to beauty shop and straight her hair out and make easy on her if she take care of it. cost money to fix her hair??or can fix straight out at home? so help me and with my daughter's hair. HELP ME! :)

My daughter is bracial and her hair is thick and curly?

my daughter is biracial as well and she is 8. I see the prolem. The only solution is not to have it straightenend, but to take her to the salon to have it braided. They can do any design she wished and I usually pay $25.00 every 2 weeks for braids. Also when her her is straightened if she gets in the shower, the steam just curls it right back up.

Take her to the salon and allow her to pick a style she likes-- with you getting the last word on whether it "fits" her or not

My daughter is bracial and her hair is thick and curly?

your point

My daughter is bracial and her hair is thick and curly?

I'm not really sure, but try buying her a flat iron to try first. See if she takes care of it that way before forking out a lot of money

My daughter is bracial and her hair is thick and curly?

She's old enough she needs to understand consequences. If she doesn't take care of her hair have it cut really short until she does want to.

My daughter is bracial and her hair is thick and curly?

Take her to beauty shop of her other racial half, like if she's half black, take her to a black shop. Get it braided or something that lasts for months.

My daughter is bracial and her hair is thick and curly?

You can buy a Texturizer for her. It's sort of like a perm, but not that strong. It will make her hair softer and manageable and easier to comb. Age 10 is a good age to start using them. They cost no more that 10 dollars. I don't recommend using it if you never done it before. It has directions that are easy to follow, but being that young I would take her to a professional.

My daughter is bracial and her hair is thick and curly?

your question wasn't very clear, but anyways

you can take your daughter to a hair salon like you said, and "fix it up", maybe shorter hair would be better for her so it would be easier to take care of.

i dont think hair lotion is really necessary, just brush it everyday and ofcourse wash it like everyother day

you can try telling her that if she doesnt take care of her hair it'll all fall out. it might sound mean, but it just might work.

good luck :]

My daughter is bracial and her hair is thick and curly?

I have a 21 year old biracial daughter too. I had to learn how to fix her hair for her. You can straighten it at home with either a flat iron (which you have to do everytime it is washed, and takes a long time). I permed her hair, it's really easy, just follow the directions on the box.

My daughter is bracial and her hair is thick and curly?

My daughter is also bi-racial. Now 22. Do not use home straightening kits. When she was little, I'd braid her hair to avoid the nightmare mornings. Moisturizing is of utmost importance. 10 is young to expect her to take complete care of it. Try the ethnic spray detanglers, VO5 cream in tube, but I find the ethnic hair products most effective. Always use moisturizing shampoos, cream rinses, etc. Products for frizzy hair have higher content of moisturizing properties. Stores that carry (salon) hair products have a WIDE range of ethnic products rather than the common retail stores. Perhaps not pc to say, but the hair stores are usually Asian owned. Many stylists shop at these stores cuz when they present their credentials they get discounts we don't. But, like I said, the range of products is fantastic!!!!!! Forget about Target, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, etc. Their ethnic selections are so so poor. Also get recommendations from your Afro_American moms ur friends with. Unfortunately, I've never mastered cornrows. They are ideal! Oh yeah, best to take her to a afro-american salon cuz most white stylists lack the knowledge to deal with that texture. I think I've covered all I know. Thank goodness she is old enuf to deal with it on her own now, lol. I forgot this! Don't even attempt to cut her hair yourself. I did that when she was 8 %26amp; when her hair dried she lkooked like a poodle %26amp; has never forgiven me for that to this day. Thankfully, I only did her bangs, lol.

Hair dye. Will pick best answer!?

I started off will medium brown hair. Kinda mouse brown.

Then I died it chesnut brown and ended up with reddish medium brown coloured hair which I liked but now I want my old hair colour back. So...

I died it back to medium brown and now it is more brownish and natural looking but there is still some red there and it is slightly darker than my natural colour.

I want blonde highlights and I don't want to have a band where I have grown out the hair dye.

What should I do to go back to my original colour and if I had it dyed at the hairdressers back to roughly my normal colour and had highlights would people notice the slight difference between my roots and normal hair colour underneath the highlighrts?

Sorry about my complex questiion but I appreciate all suggestions.

Thanks

Kate

Hair dye. Will pick best answer!?

leave it alone it will fade . you are putting color over color that has different tones . all natural hair color have all different tones in it . beige ,red , ash . But if you insist on putting more color on , make sure you get a level 2 shades lighter than your have on now and have bit in a neutral brown . you will always have roots (or regrowth ) as the pros call it . i personally wouldn't touch your hair because of everything you have on it . and wanting high lights would make your hair even more dangerous to work with

Hair dye. Will pick best answer!?

i like red heads

Hair dye. Will pick best answer!?

you can get the stuff at the store to take color out of your hair after you dye it.

Hair dye. Will pick best answer!?

well ya your question is difficult 1st i guess i could tell you the best way to get hair back to it's original color.

1-find the closest hair dye to you original color and maybe test it first if you'd feel more comfortable.

2-dye it the closest color you found.

3- if you want highlights put in a good color for your hair.

and no nobody should be able to tell that slight of a difference and just let your hair grow out and before you know it you'll be back to you original color!!!!!!!! good luck!!!!!! :)

Hair dye. Will pick best answer!?

I would not keep putting more dye on to get back to your natural color, the more chemicals you put on the more damage you are doing to the hair shaft, called over processing which in turn will make your hair more porous and the colour will be darker as porous hair will grab the colour faster than the roots. If you put bleach on top of damaged hair it will break as you have broken too many bonds in the hair shaft. Wait for a bit use good conditioner to get hair back in to good condition.

Hair product help?

I just got my hair cut by razor, and for some reason the 2nd layer of my hair is curling under [even after i use a flat iron on it] it just WONT stay straight and it's slightly... ok EXTREMELY annoying. what is a product i can use on my hair that will keep the layers in my hair/my hair in general straight without having it feel crispy [like when you use some gels or hairsprays]?

Hair product help?

I have that problem, too! It is annoying! One nice, light straightening product is Loreal Hot Straight. It won't leave your hair gunky or crispy, it helps to straighten, and it protects from heat. I can't even tell its in my hair, except my hair is glossier and straighter than usual....

Hair product help?

you could try to use suave gel or try to flatten it with water or you could curl your hair so you cant tell that your 2nd layer is curly

Hair product help?

The absolute best product is called Silk Drops from FX Special Effects. You can get it at any Walgreens.

Really Long Hair?

Ok, I'm thirteen. I cut my hair out Feb. 1, 2007. The date now's August 2, 2007. In just an amount of seven months. My hair has grown about five inches. I cut off about eight inches off at a Salon on Feb. 1, 2007. Does that mean that I should have my hair back by this year, same length, by probably November or December? Eight good inches? Or is it just because I'm young?? I also have another question. What does everybody think it'd look like if I grew my hair all the way to the length of at least an inch above my butt, all the hairs a decent, even length, no bangs, no layers, straight part in hair. Would it look good? Or should I probably get it layered?? My hairs straight.

Really Long Hair?

i personally like it normal with no striekes or layers. Your hair will grow back before the end of october because in the summer your hair grows because of the weather

Really Long Hair?

well as long as it looks healthy and compliments your look it may be very pretty that long. Be careful though, you don't want to look like the Adams family lady.

Really Long Hair?

hair always looks better straightened

Can your hair go into shock???

I always dye my hair. My hair was down to the middle of my back. After dying my hair for 6 years all different colors. I thought I would take a break. I also cut my hair very short last year, to help the red come out.I cut it a couple time since then to make sure I don't have deadends. My hair isn't growing at all. My hair should be longer then what it is by now. Do you think dying my hair again would help or what should I do???

Can your hair go into shock???

no, but you can be over processing. you didnt have to cut the red out, thats crazy.. every 7 years our bodies go thru a complete change, things slow down as we get older as well. be paitent and be sure you keep your hair conditioned before and after colors. and if possible stay away from bleaching our hair, that causes the most damage, not colors. good luck

Can your hair go into shock???

Read some useful hair tips on this site to help you

Can your hair go into shock???

try hair growth shampoos. and condition it well. only wash your hair every 2 to 3 days. this way your natural oils have time to spread through your hair. hope this helps.

Can your hair go into shock???

Once hair, like your nails, leaves your body it's dead tissue. Therefore, your hair could not go into shock.

The best way to maximize hair growth is to be healthy yourself.

The way to keep your hair looking healthy is not to abuse it. If you would look at one of your hairs under a microscope, you would see that it's actually made up of overlapping scales. The flatter those scales lay, the more they reflect light and the glossier your hair will appear.

Excessive heat, back combing, coloring, perming, straightening, and curling all roughen those scales and weaken them making hair look dry, lifeless, and rough. It will also cause breakage.

The best thing you can do now is take care of your hair and give it a rest from chemical abuse.

Can your hair go into shock???

Good LUck

Tips To Stop Hair Loss %26amp; Keep Healthy Hair Here are some hair care tips that you can use to help stop hair loss and keep your existing hair healthy and looking great. Please don't take these tips lightly. They are very important . The only thing they require is your time and commitment.

- Massage your scalp with your fingertips (not your nails) daily to stimulate and promote circulation to your scalp and reduce excess fallout. Invert your head while you shampoo %26amp; massage your scalp. This helps promote blood circulation to the head.

- Essential oils %26amp; tea . To stimulate scalp circulation, massage the scalp with rosemary essential oil or rinse hair with tea made from sage.

- Comb or brush your hair and scalp gently in the morning and at night. This helps break up hardened oils (sebum) that are clogging your hair follicles. Doing this alone has produced new hair growth. Do not over do combing or brushing.

- keep a distance from dryer's heat. When using blow dryers, always keep the heat a good distance from your scalp and hair. Avoid heating the scalp and hair excessively. Excessive heat will increase hair loss, and excess fallout.

- Avoid getting hair creams, lotions, styling gels and sprays directly on the scalp as they will clog your hair follicles. Use a light hold spray if you must.

- After swimming in a pool, shampoo your hair as soon as possible to remove any chlorine residue. Chlorine is extremely damaging to the hair and scalp.

- Avoid over-exposing your hair and scalp to the wind and sun. Good hair care over a long period really makes a difference!

- Avoid tight hats and caps as they contribute to poor circulation, depriving the hair of proper nutrition and stunting new hair growth. The sweat, dirt and grime around the rim inhibit follicle health and contribute to build-up.

- Always consult your health care provider for extreme causes of excess fallout and thinning. A medical condition or medication could be causing hair loss side-effects.

- Strive for balance and harmony in both your personal and professional lifestyle. High stress factors can cause your body to react by fluctuating hormone levels. This in turn causes excessive oil secretion (sebum) which results in hair loss.

- Pregnancy, nursing, menopause, and even birth control medication can cause constant changing factors on your nutritional needs and hormonal levels which contribute to hair loss and excess fallout.

- Avoid "crash and fad" diets. Proper nutritious meals along with vitamin and mineral supplements are a key factor for healthy hair and skin.

- Good hair care starts with awareness. These hair care tips, if followed consistently, will reduce excess fallout, hair loss, and promote new hair growth.

- Reduce hair loss effects by increasing your intake of vitamin C found in fresh fruits and vegetables, particularly citrus fruit and juices, parsley, broccoli, green peppers and black currants. Take a vitamin B complex everyday or brewers yeast. Increase your intake of protein found in meat, fish, liver, wheat germ, dried cooked beans and peas, tofu, cheese, milk and eggs.

- Take dietary supplements such as Vitamin B6, zinc %26amp; saw palmetto. Supplements are useful when you can't get enough from natural food sources.

- The Chinese believe that hair is nourished by the blood, and therefore influenced by the kidney %26amp; liver. Treatment is aimed at these organs using fleece flower root, wolfberry fruit or mulberry fruit.

- Eliminate stress or else it can be disastrous to your precious hair!

- Get enough sleep. Sleeping well is essential for the health of your hair as well as for the rest of your body.

There are ways you can help stop the grease from appearing but you have to work at it.

Do not wash everyday. The cleaner your hair is the more it can seep into your glands and harder it is to get rid of. When you do wash make sure you are washing with a cleaning shampoo and scrubbing the build up off. Take in mind that you also have to have a ph-balanced mild shampoo and lite scrubbing is recommended. Try to avoid conditioner at the roots, apply in the middle or on the ends.

Try to avoid oil in your daily food intake. And do eat more vegetables. You could visit your doctor but only after you check and consider your diet, drugs, alcohol, and your fatty food intake. Let's face it we see what McDonalds can do to your heart in a month, can you image your hair. You would be dripping everywhere.

Maybe it's time to change your shampoo. Ask your stylist what she or he would recommend. Avoid using shine products at all costs. Keep away from two-in-one shampoos and conditioners and any frizz serums.

To fix at the moment, rub a little Talcum Powder on your dried hair at the roots. Just make sure you wash it out. I wish they would event that magic product, but this will help until they do.

Here are 10 tips for to keep your hair strong, smooth, shiny and beautiful!

1. Keep your diet balanced, and eat protein and calcium rich foods. Stay away from junk foods! This is essential for healthy hair.

2. Foods and supplements to nourish your hair:

* Beans

* Yogurt

* Almonds

* Vitamin B

* Fish

* And of course, the magic potion for beauty - WATER

3. Before washing your hair, comb it well to make sure all knots has been loosened from your hair.

4. Before applying shampoo, use warm water (35 to 38 degrees Celsius) to run through your hair to rinse and wet it thoroughly.

5. When applying shampoo or conditioner, don't use your fingernails to scrape through your hair. Instead, use your palm and fingertips to massage your scalp and hair gently, in circular motions. This will help the circulation and also help to keep your hair shiny and smooth.

6. After rinsing away all the shampoo, run water over your hair for at least another half a minute (3 minutes is best) to ensure there are no remains of shampoo remaining in your hair, since this will cause a great deal of damage to your scalp.

7. When applying hair treatment products, do so just after you have washed your hair, so that your hair can absorb all the good stuff while it is half wet. This will be the best time for it to absorb nourishment.

8. NEVER go to bed with your hair wet! Hair that is half wet is most easily broken, and if you sleep during this time, your hair will be rubbing against each other, damaging your hair in the most terrible way.

9. Too much pressure may lead to hair loss! Relax... try some good relaxation methods such as soaking in a nice scented bath, listening to music, and eating healthy comfort foods such as strawberries and grapes.

10. Perming and coloring seriously damages your hair. Avoid it as much as possible. Also, when using hair setting products such as gel or putty, use as little as possible, because they hurt your scalp and hair. Wash them out thoroughly afterwards with a shampoo specially created for removing styling products.

What is more damage, Hair chemically straightened or Hair Flat Ironed over a 3 year period?

Okay I'm a guy and I do flat iron my hair, I grew out my hair and it was nice wavy hair that I liked, I got it cut about a month ago and it was a terrible terrible cut! my top layer is shorter than my layer under it, looks retarded. The thing is my hairstylist used a flat iron on my hair and made it really straight, I liked how that thing works but I really hate what my hair looks like when it goes with it's natural wave now, SO I flat iron every time I wash my hair, I'm not completely ignorant about using a flat iron I'm okay with it and it just helps the way I look (I have gotten compliments) the way I do it makes it look natural and not like I really flat ironed the hell out of it, my question is, if I kept using the flat iron for about 3 years and did it every other 3 days, is that more damaging to my hair than getting it chemically straightened at a salon...? Sorry this is getting long, but I grew out my hair for 2 years and I do NOT even contemplate of getting a short haircut

What is more damage, Hair chemically straightened or Hair Flat Ironed over a 3 year period?

Well I think dat chemically straightening can be worser, but it depends where u go 2 get it straightened.

U can't be sure coz ur hair can fall out if done by sum1 inexperienced.

So yeah, I reckon stik wit da flat iron.

What is more damage, Hair chemically straightened or Hair Flat Ironed over a 3 year period?

flat ironing ur hair every single day is a worse option because all the protien in your hair gets burnt due to which ur hair start falling, hair texture degrades over time, one can see after washing them when they flat iron. probably thats why you do not like your natural waves now. not like chemical rebonding is a great option but it definitely wins over continuous flat ironing.

believe me i have seen girls in my school. they always have perfectly straight hair(flat ironed ie), the next day when it is washed it looks horribe .......like straw

What is more damage, Hair chemically straightened or Hair Flat Ironed over a 3 year period?

flat irons are less damaging make sure you use thermal protectants you can also use a wet to dry iron when your hair is damp which will keep it from going curly in damp weather.but will go back to curly when shampooed and make sure you use good conditioners hope this helps

What is more damage, Hair chemically straightened or Hair Flat Ironed over a 3 year period?

both, beauty has it's price

What is more damage, Hair chemically straightened or Hair Flat Ironed over a 3 year period?

For straightening hair at home, you can use a hair iron and a straightening shampoo will also help. If you wish to straighten for a longer time, you can undergo Japanese hair straightening. I found this website useful - http://hcr.in/straighten.html

Hair color question..advice or opinions?

ok well i've had my hair dark brown for a while, and most people like it best that way even though my natural hair color is a light reddish brown color. but anyway i recently tried dying my hair at home, which didn't turn out so well cause i have really long hair and a lot of it .. so i'm goin to the hair salon in a few days to get it fixed, i'm probably gonna stick with the dark brown.. but i was thinkin about maybe gettin a slightly dark reddish auburn color underneath, what do you think? or maybe small streaks throughout.. i want it to be noticable, but not too drastic. i need opinions, i'm not sure what i should do

thanks! %26lt;3

Hair color question..advice or opinions?

talk to your hairdresser they can usually help you.

Hair color question..advice or opinions?

Show us pics, then we can tell ya.

Hair color question..advice or opinions?

you should get streaks.... der in style now

Hair color question..advice or opinions?

how about lowlights? i hate streaks.

Hair color question..advice or opinions?

highlights would be nice. just make sure that it matches or seems like your natural hair color. like, a lighter or darker shade would look really cute. just dont make it too obvious. my friend's hair is like, dirty blonde. and then she got "highlights." the next day at school, she was blonde. dont make it that obvious.

Hair color question..advice or opinions?

go for the reddish!!! i love red hair (or reddish hair in this case) whether it's fiery, copper, auburn, strawberry blonde etc. REDHEADS ROCK!!!!!!!

Hair color question..advice or opinions?

If you want it to show but want more of a natural look, you want to get a weave. Did you know red is the hardest color to maintain?!

Hair color question..advice or opinions?

In my opinion, try highlights would be better, then only choose the colours for dying. My friend did in this way as well.

Hair color question..advice or opinions?

foils are always a good option they are noticable but not to much out there. a darker base with a lighter foil is nice. i always go for foils they are much better than straeks cause you can see them wheather your hair is down or pulled up it is a more natural look all over.

Hair color question..advice or opinions?

low lights are a good way to make your hair look like it has movement and also makes it more interesting, rather than having one all over color.

Hair color question..advice or opinions?

you should iron(not that iron that we use for our clothes a special type of iron available in saloon that makes our hair very straight )your hair then you should color it too dark black

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

I'm an African American 21 year old. I've had long hair my whole life and that's a huge part of me--my hair. I want to cut my hair because I want my hair maintainence to be a little easier. Some people may be upset because they like my hair long and it's rare these days to find black girls with (real) long hair. I don't want to regret it once I'm done, but I'm pretty sure that I won't because this is something that I've always wanted and I know I'm old enough now to do it. I'm getting it done today so what do you say? Cut or no cut?

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

If you want to cut it i say go ahead! I was faced with a similar situation...I grew up with really long hair and my family (esp. my mom) always admired it and told me never to cut it. But when it all boils down to it, you have to live with all of that darn hair!! So you should do what you want with it. People with shorter hair usually don't understand all of the mess you have to go through with longer hair. When i turned 18 i decided to cut all of mine off...I hated it. but i thought that's what i wanted at the time. I still keep it considerably shorter (shoulder length) and im very comfortable with it now. I would suggest starting out slow and keep cutting a little bit more off until it gets to a comfortable length. Also, don't worry so much about what other people will think. Good luck with whatever you decide to do! :)

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

no way

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

Do what YOU want to do.

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

No cut!

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

don't live your life for everyone else cut it.

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

Do what YOU want to do. If you want to cut it, cut it.

Donate it... it'll make you feel good, and people can't complain then.

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

Please do not cut it. As a man, I love women with long hair! Not butch cuts.

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

If you decide to do it remember, you can donate it to a charity like Locks of Love.

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

it's your hair, it's your choice. You can always grow it back out, if you don't like it.

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

I'm not African American but....when I had very long hair and decided to get it cut I went just a little shorter than what I had.....worked with it for awhile and then decided to go a bit shorter....and so on. I think if you do it as a gradual process...first others will get used to it and so will you and you will discover what length you feel comfortable at. I have decided over time I enjoy my long hair better so I've let it grow back out but I wanted to let you know what I did ....maybe it would work for you.

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

maybe cut it to a nice sholder length and take if from there. If the change isn't too shocking or drastic, cut it again. I would leave a little length. it's hard to grow hair back!

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

don't cut it if you're not sure. just get a trim or cut up to 2 inches.

i've cut my hair short before and have regretted it.

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

Honestly, do what you want to do. If you want to cut it then go ahead. Its your hair in the end and you're the one who has to live with it. You can't always keep others happy, keep yourself happy first.

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

No way!! Your hair sounds gorgeous!! V jealous!! If you want to cut it then sure but be prepared it may not look v good ... have a consultation with your hairdresser before anything goes ahead... they can give you their opinion .... if you decide you don't want to get it done just buy speial shampoos and conditioners to manage your hair ...

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

Just cut it like an inch. It will make things a little easier, but your hair will still be really long.

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

No you should not cut your hair, just think of how long it would take to grow it back again if you don't like your new look.

Don't think you can just put extensions in to replace it because then you are just like thousands of other wannabes -you have real long hair, be thankfull for it.

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

If you cut it, Donate your hair to locks for love.

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

cut your hair. then donate your locks to kids with cancer. they make wigs out of your hair for them to wear to make them feel normal. this way, even if you think back and wish you hadn't cut your hair, you'll at least be happy in the fact that you brought a smile to a childs face by donating hair to make a wig for them.

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

If you decide to cut it, please consider donating it to locks of love.

http://www.locksoflove.org/

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

Go for a trim at first and see how you like it a bit shorter. Long hair if it's cared for properly is for any age and any race if it suits you....take a look at the gorgeous 60 year old Diana Ross.

My vote? Trim. Good luck with your new look, no matter what you decide.

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

I think u should go for it. i mean if u had long hair all ur life maybe its time 4 a change. people experiment with their hair all the time. i have short hair and i love it. but make sure that the cut suits ur face. if u hav a long face then don't cut ur hair too short maybe shoulder length.

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

I say cut it

Gets you out of that comfort zone....and that's okay

you will always be the same person, just with new hair!!

Great thing is that you can always grow it back with patience

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

Why not try. I just cut 5 inches off mine. I miss my long hair but im glad I tried it and I must admit its sooooo much easier and quicker to style. It feels healthier now too. I want my long hair back but at least I know it will grow back and I tried something diff.

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

I THINK YES.AND IF YOU GET TIRED YOU CAN ALWAYS WEAR EXTENTIONS UNTIL IT GROWS BACK.YOU WILL BE NERVES AT FIRST BUT THEN YOU FEEL SO LIGHT AND FREE.I'M ALSO AN AA WHO HAD LONG HAIR BUT CHOPPED IT OFF.

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

I don't think so, but do what you feel is right.

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

Every time I cut my hair short, I regret it %26amp; grow it out all over again. Just make sure that is really what you want before you do it.

Maybe try a wig first, to see how it would look on you first.

My hair is long and REAL. Should i cut it??

Here's what I think:

I had waist length hair a few years ago, and I donated 14 inches to locks of love. I still had long hair -- past my shoulders. If you have hair that long, I think you should donate it -- you only need 10 inches, and then it will be shorter, but still kinda' long. If you don't want to cut that much off, just trim a few inches off. Your hair will look healthier, and it will be more manageable.

Good Luck!!

Hair question.?

Hi,

I have naturally straight hair, but I want to achieve curly hair without getting a perm done. I have tried hair curlers and rollers with hairspray, but I haven't been very successful.

I recently bought a mousse and worked it into my damp hair after my shower this morning, and it stayed somewhat curly/wavy but ended up coming apart by the end of the day.

I read the back of the mousse bottle and it said "diffuser reccomended".

Does anyone have a diffuser? Does it work well? Or is there any other way I can curl my hair without it falling apart?

Hair question.?

1.Hot Rollers W/hairspray combed through each section first. Let set 5 minutes

2. Curling Iron w/hairspray combed through section first.

Let Set 5 Minutes

3. "Strongest".Sleep with Hot Dog rollers..Hair is 90% dry 10 % wet .comb sections with a little hair spray use small sections of paper towels to wrap the ends.Roll Up and secure to each other.

This meythod uses both a chemicle and physical change and is the absolute strongest.

..A curl is a curl untill You Break it appart..Then it is a frizz..

The Hairspray keeps the curl formation together.

"Natural Curly Hair" Comb hair spray or Gell through your semi wet Hair "especially the ends"

Scrunch a "little" and air dry or use a defuser.

Hair question.?

i have a diffuser and it works really well, my hair is naturally curly and i just use it to dry my hair, but keep the curls in. try putting the mousse in after a shower and then diffuse ur hair. it should keep the curls in the whole day.

Hair question.?

Product, product, product!!!! Mousse will help but throughout the day you may need hairspray and scrunch. I don't know what type of hair you have if its really thin don't use to much product it will way it down. As for a diffuser you can buy diffusers separately or even what's called a hot sock, because not all diffusers fit every dryer. Even if the box says it does it doesn't. I sell them in my salon and they don't fit every dryer. Hope this helps.

Hair question.?

Braid you hair after you take a shower and keep them in until the next morning. Your hair should curl. Good luck.

Hair question.?

The same goes for me.

What i do is

after i get out of the shower..

I put in mouse, and then curl mine with

a spriral curler...

while its curling spary hair spray on the curling iron

and when ur done use hair spray.

The spiral curler is better b.c it curls alot better.

Hair question.?

I have the same problems. I have straight hair and i want curly. You try a curling iron.I do it whenever i want curly hair. But it damages your hair so used this BEDHEAD product for heat treated hair. Also the braiding thing words but then the tips are straight since you cant braid trhe tips.Conair curling iron works. But i have a bigger secert to curly hair,I have this spray called Spray it curly insant curls. It has directions on the back but i have better steps. 1.Take a shower (try to use Herbal Esscences Totally Twisted.

2.Towel Dry hair a little bit keep it damp

3.Take some curl Garnier Fructis Style gel:Curl Construct Sperad it and scrunch as your doing it

4.Then spray Spray it Curl all over hair.Scrunch it

5.Then add any hairspray and scruching gel

6. Keep scruching or put it in a messy bun until it is dry.

7. Final step is love your hair

Hair Algae?

I have a 10g tank with lots of plants in it (and fish too, obviously.) And it has a filter and heater and gravel and places to hide and the whole bit. It has fully cycled, I go to my local pet stores every few days to get it checked to make sure its okay. So i have room for a few more fish.

So recently i've had a problem with hair algae growing on all of my plants. Not quite an outburst of it, but a fair amount of it, so it looks pretty bad. Is there any fish that will reliably eat hair algae? i have one Otto catfish, but it stays near the bottom and the hair algae is mostly towards the top.

Hair Algae?

flying foxes will eat hair algea

Hair Algae?

There are very few fish that eat hair algae. I have a planted tank and I control it with Flourish Excel. It's a fertilizer and is not sold as an algae control but many people use it when they get the hair algae. It's great stuff.

Algae killers are quite bad for your tank, fish, plants, so I do not recommend them at all. I don't know anyone else who would either.

Hair Algae?

First of all flying fox get to big for a 10 gallons tank.

Flourish Excel. It is NOT a fertilizer, it is liquid CO2 supplement. I have try that and it do work to reduce the hair algae. You need to use 2 or 3 times it's recommended amount, which means you do it at your own risk.

But, before you add anything in your tank (fish or additve), I think something is in-balance in your tank. Out of control Algae is normally is an indicator of bad water quality due to overstock, overfeeding...etc. Check your water, for excess nitrates, phosphate or iron, because Hair algae thrives on them. Are you adding any fertilizer in your tank? If so, you may want to reduce the amount. In the mean time, you should physically remove the hair algae from you plant, that will help to control the hair algae until you fix the underline issue.

My SAE, Amamo shrimp and Cherry Red shrimp all go after the hair algae. For a 10 gallon tank, SAE is not a good choice. Without knowing what fish you have in your tank, I don't know will shrimp be OK.

Also, my hair algae total went away when I start add the DIY CO2 and improve my light. I think the extra CO2 and good light (not longer hour, but more watt) help the aquarium plant to use up all the excess nutrients and nothing left to feed the algae, then they die off. I think this is the same reason why Flourish Excel (liquid CO2) help to kill of hair algae.

One more thing, algae is normal for a healthy tank. Many fish snack on algae, so it is OK to have algae as long as it's not out of control. Also, it's never a good idea to get a fish just to clean algae. Fish produce waste, so at the end, they add to the problem and not solve it. Also, many fish as they grow up they will stop eating algae, unless you like the fish otherwise what are you going to do as they lost their functionality.

Hope this help

Bleaching your hair.?

It took me ages to find the right hair colour. I have had light brown hair for about 3months now. I really want my hair a nice light blonde colour, but the only way to lighten my hair is with bleach as putting a normal blonde colour on it wont lft the colour. But my hairdresser will not bleach my hair all over..only streaks in my hair. Is this the right thing to do or is it ok to bleach hair all over??

Bleaching your hair.?

If i were you. i'd go with the highlights first, bleaching all over can be drastic, shows up roots ridiculously quickly and can complelely trash your hair! you hairdresser is so right! you can always have more each time, but it will look blonde instantly with highlights... i don't recommend sun-in, known a few people to go gradually ginger, especially when out in the sun!

Bleaching your hair.?

bleaching your hair will ruin your hair...if you get highlights your hair will look blonde.

Bleaching your hair.?

Have you tried Sun-In? You can spray it in your hair when it is wet and blow dry it and it will lighten your hair gradually, then when your roots start showing you can just spray the roots not the rest of your hair.

Hair styling question.......?

so, i have semi-wavy hair. i blow dry it straight, but it never really stays 100% straight.

i never wear it down, really, unless i have to, but when i do, the top layer is always very fly-away, so i always look messy %26amp; unkempt. plus, the longer it is worn down, the "poofier" it gets, til it eventually gets on my nerves %26amp; i tie it up again. =(

any suggestions on how to tame my hair so it looks neater %26amp; more styled? i would rather have it look the way a lot of girls' hair looks after it has been straightened with a hair iron, but without having to go through all that trouble, if i don't have to. i'm not very good at styling my hair, so something simple would be best. thanks. =D

Hair styling question.......?

put some anti poof / straightening product in your hair like sunsilk pink/blue, herbal essences pink or i think green and/or a bit of diluted gel(3 part water 1 part gel) (laminates sebastian is good) and rub it onn your hair. any of these can be done on wet/dry(except for the gel) and will keep your hair gorgeous. embrace your waves, put mousse in them to keep them managable and be happy with your hair

hope i helped

Hair styling question.......?

just put a styling product into it it doesnt matter which one as long as its a type of styling product that you can put in your hair.

Hair styling question.......?

I'm a cosomotology teacher. Go to your favorite salon, or to your nearest reputable beauty school and ask them for the new CHI straightening system. DO NOT let them talk you into anything else. This will leave your staight, and in excellent condition.

Hair color of my child?

i have dark brown hair, my husband has red. My mom also has auburn hair what's the probability our kid will have red hair?

Hair color of my child?

It depends on what you mean by auburn. If your mothers hair IS red then there is a 1 in 2 chance you will have a red haired child but only if you are a carrier for the red hair allele. So there is a possibility.

You could determine this by looking at the rest of your family. Have any of your siblings got red hair? Have any of their children got red hair? If so then there is a good chance you are a carrier. But even then there is only a 1 in 2 chance your child will have red hair

Hair color of my child?

more likely to have brown hair, as it is dominant and red hair is recessive. but it you have someone on your side with red hair genes it will be more likely.

Hair color of my child?

50%

Hair color of my child?

My mom had dark brown hair, and my dad had red hair. My sister had dark brown hair and I have blond hair. And when my sister and I had our babies they actually had a red tint to them. So I think red hair might skip a generation. I think your baby Will have brown hair.

Hair color of my child?

My father in law is a redhead, but his 3 boys have shades of brown including my husband. I am a dark blonde, my son is about the same as me, but my daughter has red hair. Sometimes it does skip a generation but I have seen plenty of redheads with redheaded children too.

Hair color of my child?

you can dye the babies hair to meet your any need.

What hair spray product straightens your hair?

can i only use hair spray?

i don't think my parents will allow me to buy a flat iron, so i'm thinkking about hair spray, and does flat iron damage your hair more than hair spray?

and last of all which hair spray is best?

What hair spray product straightens your hair?

well try a shampoo/conditioner that helps you change your part, so if you wash your hair every morning that will help to

control it

What hair spray product straightens your hair?

I think Herbal Essence has products to make your hair straighter, but I dont know how well it works. Its in a pink bottle.

What hair spray product straightens your hair?

there's no product that's going to do so with out a straightner you need a straightner tresemme heat tamer is good but you

still need a flat iron

Hair color advice...?

ok so my hair is short and a caramel brown color with bleach blonde highlights. I colored it like this about 2 months ago and when i did my hair was longer and it completely fried it. I bought ion reconstructing conditioner and cut all of it off which was my original plan to do and now it seems fine again. the only problem is i recently trimmed my hair again and alot of the bleach blonde highlights are gone especially in the back. I want to get my hair re colored but my mom told me bleaching it again with bleach still in there will screw it up again. What i wanted to do was dye my hair DARK brown and get bleach blonde highlights. but i cant do that i guess. So my options seem to be: getting DARK brown lowlights, black lowlights, or dying my hair all DARK brown. Ive wanted to go darker but at the same time i like being blonde. im really confused. please help? :)

Hair color advice...?

they have pecan color and walnut color light brown .

Hair color advice...?

you should have put a picture up. I think going darker would be good for your hair. You could still get highlights as long as the bleach doesn't touch the already highlighted hair. Go to a salon and see what a stylist thinks.

Curly Hair help !?

Hi! I would suggest trying a straightening product. I have loose wavy hair naturally and this is what it takes to help my hair I have tried a few products. The one I suggest is Redkens Satinwear. It helps make hair soft, shiney, straight. Also helps while your drying to prevent hair from frizzing and damage. I also take a barber comb at the root or scalp and aim the dryer at the root along with the comb. When its wet take the dryer and the barber comb,at the root and dry straight down a few times. The root is where the hair grows of course, so you have to attack it there first. Then you can straighten it out with a flattening iron. Dont over do it tho. Gel only makes hair curlier!! You also need to use the cool on the dryer setting after the heat too. Good Luck!

Curly Hair help !?

if your mother has a hair straightener just use it to straighten that piece. or of course you can cut it off.

Curly Hair help !?

Curling iron DuH!!

Curly Hair help !?

forget gels... the problem with them is that they are liquidy. Anything liquid is ridiculous for trying to straighten out curly hair.

If you want to try fixing it with product, I'd suggest you try some sort of max-hold wax. I find the ones with added fibres in them to work the best, as they give you something that's already not curly mixed in to work with. It's a pretty common product for guys, too.

If you growing your hair out though, just the weight of longer hair may solve the problem for you

Or, one last thought... it can be a little tough, but make peace with your hair. Try something like spiking up the rest of your hair a bit and let the curls in front accent it. You'll look hot, and without fighting what you've been given.

Curly Hair help !?

My boyfriend has curly hair too. The longer it is, the curlier. Keep it short and use mousse or gel to straighten it with a comb when it is wet.

Curly Hair help !?

Hair Styles?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Go to your hair salon and get a system of products for your specific kind of hair. They will be able to help you or Try to spray your hair with hairspray and let that set and then curl it after the hairspray is dry.

Hair Styles?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

You could get a perm, so you don't even need to use a curling iron, but because your hair is very thin it might dry it out very easily. Maybe get advice from the salon before hand.

Hair Styles?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I have almost the exact same hair. I usually go through my mags and pick a style. try working mousse through it pulling it into a messy half-ponytail. that normally looks good. Or you could try taking a very thin straightening iron and making curls in your hair. Twist it around in small circles and it looks ttly awesome. or at night, wear your hair in wet braids (one on each side of your hair) and take it out in the morning. it looks really cool.

Hair Styles?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I think that you should go to the hair salon to see what they can do with your hair, right there they can show you all the different styles that you could bruch your hair,

SUPER CURLY HAIR -- With a bad hair day! HELP!?

I have crazy curly hair. REALLY CURLY. I just want to know what people with crazy/super curly hair do. I want to know everything from what kind of shampoo %26amp; conditoner you use to what styling products. do you blow dry your hair.. how many times a week do you wash it? stuff like and if you straighten your hair what works and doesnt keep it from frizzing. It takes me about an hour and a half to straighten my hair.. and it quickly goes frizzy.i want to learn to love my curls and im young and apperance is big. i also live in canada so i need to know the products that i can buy in Canada. TELL ME EVERYTHING ABOUT YOUR HAIR AND ROUTINE!! Thank you!!!

SUPER CURLY HAIR -- With a bad hair day! HELP!?

HEY!!Curly Hair Rules

Curly hair is a blessing in disguise. You can get the largest variety of looks, if you have the time to straighten your hair. If not, curl control is important. Curls made a big comeback, but making them look good is another story. Sometimes the tangling and blow-drying is enough stress to keep your curly locks frizzy for a while. Follow some of these rules, but for the best results using a diffuser as opposed to a blow dryer is recommended.

Always use a good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. The more you touch your root, the frizzier it can get. Treat yourself once a month, if possible, to a deep conditioning treatment. It helps control your ends, and replenish what the harsh daily wear takes out.

Take heed if you want to go Blonde or a Platinum Blonde: stripping your hair of its natural color to go lighter makes it dry, and your curls will turn limp and dry.

Use a big toothed comb or a pick when combing out your wet hair. Most of the damage happens when your hair is wet, so use a sealer like BC Bonnicure閳ユ獨 Sealed Ends, before and after you blow-dry. It helps with split ends and frizzy hair.

i have straight hair and i always curl my hair when i go on a night out! =D

SUPER CURLY HAIR -- With a bad hair day! HELP!?

First of all, I used to have mega curly hair. Now I dont since I use olive oil. Just dampen your hair with it, wait five minutes, then get into the shower. As soon as your hair dries, it'll be straight and sleek.
