Hair static?

My hair is EXTREMELY prone to static. I mean, if I do so much as blink, it will stand straight up or stick to my face. I hate it. Is there any DISCREET way to handle static hair? People tell me to get Static Guard but say that it smells. People tell me to use dryer sheets, but I don't want to rub dryer sheets all over myself in public. I sometimes rub some lotion into my hands and rub my hands over my hair, but even then, people give me weird looks. I can't use conditioner because of my hair type. I spray my hair with hairspray every day. Is there anything else I can do???

Hair static?

from my understanding if you have a prob with static it can be because your hair is too dry and lacking in moisture. the reason why rubbing lotion into your hair from your hands might work for abit is because the lotion acts as a temporary moisture.

at least for me whenever i blow dry my hair for too long and use hairspray (alcohol will dry hair) then i notice at some point in the day - i'll have my hair sticking to my face from static.

when i notice that static is a problem i will focus on moisturizing my hair more. usually that means in the winter time.

i use a moisturizing shampoo and also a moisturizing conditioner. also when my hair is towel-tried, i'll add just a drop of bumble and bumble's defrizz lotion..i find that prevents static or frizziness with my hair.

i think if you keep spraying with hairspray it'll be fine at first when it's still wet then once it dries..it'll just build up static again.

Hair static?

i don't know i don't have thta problem

Hair static?

Aveda smoothing fluid.

I have the same issue, and have used it since my stylist recommended it. Word - a LITTLE goes a long way....

Hair static?

Hairspray gets rid of static, even in your clothes!! Try it

Hair static?

try some of the shine serums that you get in the drugstore...it puts a coat of silicone on your hear to help it lay flat and shine.

Hair static?

you've pretty much covered all the options you can do for hair static.

Hair static?

simple...a dryer sheet

no kidding

works wonders

do it before you leave the house and it shouldnt be a problem but if by chance it does just keep an extra one in ur purse and pop into a women's room

Hair static?

get silk therapy or you can get a drier sheet and run it threw your hair.

Excess Male facial hair?

I am 18 years old with black hair and light brown skin.

I've started to notice excess facial hair below my eyes but above my beard. I am perfectly ok with my normal beard but this extra hair just above it and parallel to it affects my look. I also have a little between my eyebrows (uni-brow in the making) and some hair on the extreme corners of my eye brows.

I have contemplated shaving the excess hair or even trimming it but cutting hair stimulates growth which i definitely don't want.

I need some hair removal methods that are long lasting but no permanent to get this hair outta the way. But since this area is very very sensitive i wont just use any cream or method without proof that it does not have side effects such as rashes etc.

If anyone knows a few good methods please share.

PS. i heard something about salons doin this for you but im not sure.

Thanks in advance

Excess Male facial hair?

You can try waxing. I know your a man but you can try a womans product(it won't kill you)hair removal cream.

How to have a rad hair, "scene hair"?

Shorter choppy layers towards the top of your head and longer layers throughout the rest. To get the "puffy" just tease tease tease! Also use lots of hairspray. That's what most of the scene kids do.

A good tutorial on how to tease your hair:

Hair dye question?

my plan is to dye my hair dark brown(almost black) then put bleached streaks in. so my question is, is it ok to put the bleach over hair dye? and right now my hair has highlights in it.

[[and plz dont tell me how bad it is for my hair and how i shouldnt do it myself. i already know it damages your hair]] thnx : )

Hair dye question?

well since your already dying your hair you know that alone will damage your hair, but not to badly because there will be no alcohol usage. but since you want to add the blonde streaks over the black/brown then you will need to use alcohal and bleach and many other chemicals that will damage your hair terribly and make your hair frizzy and hard to brush/comb

what i would say it would be fine, but you would also have to use LOTS of the bleach to make sure it is noticable over the black

Hair dye question?

No!!!! You need to wait at least 2 weeks before highlighting...it will not turn out well...personal experience!! Maybe a couple of shades up from black and a few shades down from blonde to make them work without turning green...

Hair dye question?

You will be fine to do that. Go to a beauty supply store to get a better bleach. That should be really cute! Good luck :)

Hair dye question?

you can,but i don't know how good that'd look

Hair dye question?

your not going to want to do it yourself...

go get it done at a salon.

you will be more satisfied.

Hair dye question?

it is ok because the bleaches just clean the color of your hair....

Hair dye question?

Why not figure out ahead of time which sections you want to take color Out of and when time comes to dye, pin those sections up and away from the dye?

This way you aren't needing to remove a treatment of dark dye from your hair which can really "stick".

I always gotten my hair braiding with synthetic hair but now this new person wants me 2 use human ha

Hi :pThe style I mostly want is wet and wavy or a loose wave but brading halfway 2 my chin and the rest and the ends is left loose.Should I really spend my money 4 human hair even though it mostly going 2 be loose at the ends or should I go back 2 synthetic hair which lasts longer or pick a different hair braider? Help :p I awlays gotten my hair braiding with synetic hair but now this new person wants me 2 use human hair should I?http://www.hairsisters.com/new/ShoppingL... the pic is like this

A MIXTURE OF THE 1ST AND 2ND PIC ON THIS SITE THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS I DO WANT IT 2 BE BRADING A LITTLE MORE 2 THE ENDS AND THEN LOOSE :P CAN THIS BE USED WITH SYNTHETIC HAIR THAT HAVE SOME WAVES IN IT? like this one? http://www.hairsisters.com/new/ViewDetai...

I always gotten my hair braiding with synthetic hair but now this new person wants me 2 use human hair?

Human hair...can be manipulated more than synthetic....if you really want your style to last a while....Human Hair is better than synthetic......it's more expensive...but goodness..synthetic hair is like the hair that you burn for cornrows....I really don't see why anyone would want a head full of that....if you get tired of the wet and wavy look...you can straighten the human hair after washing....and some brands are better for straightening it and then wetting it...and making it wavy again....Human hair..just gives you more style options....Have you had the freestyle braids with synthetic hair before??? or you had them in cornrows? Synthetic hair..just will not last longer than Human if you have them in Freestyle braids like the pic that you have from Hair Sisters..I buy from them myself...believe me...go with the human....If you have questions..email1

I always gotten my hair braiding with synthetic hair but now this new person wants me 2 use human hair?

use human hair, it will cost more, but probably look a lot better!!!

I always gotten my hair braiding with synthetic hair but now this new person wants me 2 use human hair?

Hi,

I don't know much about braiding with synthetic or human hair, but I do know that if you prefer synthetic that that is exactly what you should go for. Don't allow anyone to push you in to a more expensive process that doesn't last as long if that's not what you want.

I always gotten my hair braiding with synthetic hair but now this new person wants me 2 use human hair?

Well..human hair is the one that has wet and wavy..but once again, you use which hair that you want..if you go and get the synthetic and you see that it don't look the way that you want it to..then you'll know for the next time..

keep in mind, human hair isn't heavy to the head like the synthetic is.

Hair issues. HELP! Easy 10 pts?

Well, I had my hair so long and silky when I was little and now it's starting to get a little rough and frizzy! Not that bad, but still! I have bangs and my hair is a little bit longer than shoulder-length. The thing is, I want super long hair, but it's been impossible since I always have to cut the dry part of hair like every 5 months!

How can I have beautiful, long, sliky hair, without it being damaged that I won't have to go everytime to the salon and have it cut? Best Answer 10 points! Thank you SO MUCH!

-Jade%26lt;3

Hair issues. HELP! Easy 10 pts?

here are some home remedies which are very good for dry hair. i had dry hair myself but when i tried these tips it was great! they've never been dry again!

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Beat up on an Egg: Separate the white of an egg from the yolk, and whip the white thoroughly. Then add 1 tablespoon of water to the yolk and blend until the mixture is creamy. Next, mix the white and yolk together. Wet your hair with warm water, remove the excess moisture, and apply the egg mixture to your scalp with your fingertips. Massage gently until the froth is worked into your scalp, and then rinse the hair with cool water. Keep applying the mixture until it is used up. Continue to rinse until all of the egg is washed away

Go for the Mayo: Heat up one half cup of mayonnaise until it becomes an oily, white goo and apply to dry, unwashed hair. Cover your hair with a plastic bag and leave on for at least 15 minutes. Then, rinse and shampoo thoroughly.

Mix up a Tropical Treat: Mash one over-ripe banana (the blacker, the better) with a mushy, rotten avocado. Massage this exotic puree into your hair and leave on for at least 15 minutes before washing out鈥n the kitchen sink!).

Grab a Cold One. Beer can give your dry hair a healthy sheen. Before you blow-dry or style, use a pump bottle to spray brew onto your hair. The beer will leave your hair shiny and sleek and its odor will disappear quickly.

In addition to using these home remedies regularly to avoid dry hair, try the following preventative measures:

Avoid overshampooing. Shampooing can wash away the hair's protective oils, so try washing less often and use a mild shampoo labeled "for dry or damaged hair."

Condition regularly. Conditioners protect the hair鈥檚 cuticle layer from splitting from the shaft. Pick a conditioner that works well for your hair and use it after every shampoo.

Wear a hat. Too much exposure to wind and sun can leave hair thirsty.

Trim off split ends. The biggest problem caused by dry hair is split ends. Schedule a trim every six to eight weeks to keep fraying ends under control.

Ease up on the heat. Heat (in the form of blow dryers, as well as straightening and curling irons) can quickly dry out hair. Let your hair air dry occasionally. Try using plastic cylinder rollers to straighten hair by wrapping slightly moist hair under and around rollers for about 10 minutes. For curling, try using sponge rollers overnight or sleeping with moist braids.

Don't swim without a cap. Use a rubber cap to protect your hair from the damaging effects of chlorine. If you must forgo a cap, rub a spoonful of olive oil into your hair before diving in.

Another thing is also putting in lotion in your hair after you have gotten out of the shower and you can also put in lotion in hair after you have dried it.

Just rub some lotion on your finger tips and run it through your hair evenly.

Also, something that will help your hair is to take COLDshowers. What most people dont know is that if you take hot showers, the heat gets rid of the oils and other things that your hair needs to be kept healty and shiney.

Smash an avocado and mix with jojoba and peppermint oils. Make sure its really smooth you may want to put it in a food processor with a little water. Then apply some to your scalp and the rest on your hair. Massage for a minute or so then put on a plastic cap. Leave for 15 to 30 minutes. The avocado and jojoba oils will moisterize and the peppermint will stimulate your scalp to loosen any dead skin and open your pores. It will feel great. Your hair will grow better and won't be dry. :)

Hope this helps!

If this doesnt help just contact me and i can give you more tips for your dry hair!

Hair issues. HELP! Easy 10 pts?

Use Pantene Pro-v or Garniea Fruitesse they both work great. Oh I forgot one Dove. Hope I helped.

Kay Kay

Hair issues. HELP! Easy 10 pts?

use less shampoo in the shower, only wash the roots if your hair, condition daily, brush lightly, use damage control shampoo and conditioner, protect hair in summer with leave in conditioner. Good luck!! =)

Hair issues. HELP! Easy 10 pts?

Use a very mouisturizing condtioner, get hot oil treatments, soak your hair overnight in coconut oil, use heat protectants before you use any styling tools, get your split-ends trimmed every 6 weeks, use a serum after you shower, let your hair air dry, and keep healthy! :]]

Hair issues. HELP! Easy 10 pts?

While Panteen is a great product, it is really better for your hair to use salon quality products, simply because they do not contain as much alcohol(if any) in them as regular store bought products do. The alcohol in the products is what is drying out your hair and making it rough and frizzy! I love all aveda products and that is what I use on my hair. Its a little bit more pricey but the end result is totally worth it. Also, get your hair trimmed every 6 weeks. You dont have to go to a big time stylist to get this done :) Good luck!

Hair issues. HELP! Easy 10 pts?

Very Simple...Get hair extensions!!

Hair issues. HELP! Easy 10 pts?

if you straighten your hair everday, then cut back to 1once every 2 days, then slowly cut back to 2wice a week or something. but when u do straighten use a protective heat spray to help protect ur hair.

use repairing conditioner on your ends! whenever you wash

also, once a week use an intensive conditioner to try and repair/mend ur ends.

its good u get ur hair cut regulary - you shud cut your hair every 6-8 weeks, this promotes healthly %26amp; long hair growth. if you leave ur hair with out trimming it becomes lank %26amp; brittle and thats how ur hair beings to spilt, so having it cut keeps it freash.

good luck!

x

Hair issues. HELP! Easy 10 pts?

well you should try the hot oil treatments, and deep conditioning. that should help control the frizzyness and shorten the dead ends.

Hair issues. HELP! Easy 10 pts?

I want the exact same thing!

But, I have very long hair at the moment because of clip in extensions. The run from 50 dollars to 200 dollars. But I talked to my hairdresser, and she said that the 80 dollar ones were perfect, no need to spend the extra money! So i got them and they are so easy to use. You just sew them into the clips and clip them into your hair, it looks so natural.

I love having my hair short, but i love love love long hair, so all i do is pop in a few extensions. And best of all..? NO DAMAGE!

Chantelle, xo

Hair issues. HELP! Easy 10 pts?

do not use WALMART or GROCERY STORE shampoo! if i were you i'd use a repairing shampoo like BROCATO CLOUD 9 or for a more affordable product try PAUL MITCHELL SUPER STRONG. always use conditioner and if you blow dry and flat iron make sure to use a heat protector. all of these will assist in helping your hair be healthier. and if you go every month and get just the ends trimmed you will not have to cut so much off!

Hair issues. HELP! Easy 10 pts?

Use L'oreal Paris' VIVEpro NutriGloss.

This restores hair's shine and texture(you are experiencing coarse dry hair, you want hair like glass.)

Also shampoo every OTHER day and leave in conditioner for 20 minutes and rinse out with ICE cold water. Seals the hair's cuticle and makes it smoother.

Hair issues. HELP! Easy 10 pts?

I have to agree with the moisturizing conditioner (except only on the ends, not always on your head at the root), My favorite heat protectant is Super Skinny by Paul Mitchell it has worked for me and I have long hair that I straighten. It is the best one I have found. I quit using it for awhile because I ran out and could not get to the salon. It made a huge difference in my hair. I will not go without it ever again. I put about five small squirts in my hands, start at the ends and work up while damp and then just one squirt when dry to manage the fly-aways etc. I also let my hair air dry and can go at least a day in between washings when it is straight.I just do a quick touch up to keep it looking fresh.

Hair issues. HELP! Easy 10 pts?

once washed try rinsing your hair in cold water use less conditioner and a natural shampoo/conditioner made with natural oils and ingredients this maybe expensive but you sound like your desperate! lol after that wen you get the dry ends don't cut them of immediately let them grow also if you straighten your hair cut down on it and your last solution is to get some extentions lol and if you don't want to do that ask your hairdresser hope Ive helped !!! xx good luck ! xx

Hair ideassss!?

i have dark brown hair, Ive dyed my hair red before and plan on doing it again. but i think i want to dye the ends lightttt brown hair with red on top. because my hair is so dark i would like to bleach it first, then do the dye. what do you think i should i do?

also do you have any pics of my new hair idea? so i could actually see what it looks like. thanx =]

Hair ideassss!?

I think you should just dye the entire thing red if your going to do that, or maybe streaks of red would be cool as long as they dont stand out too much...its all up to you, but dont leave the dye in too long or it will become dark

Hair ideassss!?

http://www.infobih.com/slike/20070109153...

http://www.hair-styles.org/jennifer-anis...

try some of these i think best is 2nd of what it sounds like u want

Hair ideassss!?

I am a hair stylist, and I think if your doing red all over maybe you should go with copper or a rich honey golden blonde for the ends. I think this would look alot better than the brownish color, the red is more vibrant and the brown will look dull next to the red. but depending on what color you already have now.Probably be best to consult with a professional prior to color.

My hair's a mess...?

Well the first time I dyed my hair was in 4th grade. I've been dyeing it. Last time I dyed my hair was June. Well, my hair is "dry and damaged." I use GARNIER FRUTICE because a lot of people are recommending it. Each time my hair dries it gets poofy-ish and looks really dry. Is there anything a hair salon can do to you hair, like minerals, so it will make it healthy?

My hair's a mess...?

So your hair is pretty much dead and dry from hair colouring.. You can try leave in conditioners by Redken. It provides proteins to make the hair stronger and shiny. To make you hair more shiny but not too shiny, you can use any type of serum. You rub a little bit into your hands and anywhere that is desired in your hair. If you do decide to colour your hair again..colour it a darker colour. It will make your hair look more healthy. Whenever you go lighter it will damage your hair since you are pretty much bleaching it and taking out the colour of your natural hair.

My hair's a mess...?

i heard using baby oil...i mean try asking at the salon before you do anything

My hair's a mess...?

I think that the problem is that you are constantly dyeing your hair! Why not embrace your natural beauty other than blending with all of the other girls. If you are keen on keep dyeing it, pantene will keep it smooth and silky. Try leaving the conditioner in for two hours. You won't believe the results!

My hair's a mess...?

Go to the salon and ask them to make your hair silkier and less poofy. Dying your hair so much is not a good idea because it's bad for your hair.

My hair's a mess...?

you really should use dove...i used it last night...get dry and damaged...or get the therapy one...they are all good...

Serious Hair Color Problem!!! HELP!!!!!!?

I have been coloring my hair myself to save money because my hairdresser was charging $70 each time and I had to go every month! I've done it 3 times before this one today...I use the white powder stuff in a tub I think called BW2 from Sallys and a 40 volume developer and have no problems before today...It turned out too light and is kind of yellow around my bangs....I thought the shimmer lights purple shampoo may help so tonight I put it on my hair and left it for 5 minutes and rinsed and then conditioned, when I dryed my hair it looks like there is some purple tint left!!!! Please help...could the shampoo have left a purple color on my hair and what can I do to get my hair not so light?? Maybe a toner but what kind and can I buy something to help my hair from Sallys? Please, Please HELP me!!!

Serious Hair Color Problem!!! HELP!!!!!!?

the reason that there is a purple cast is because there are some parts of your hair that is more porous then others. it will wash out with a couple of washings.

i wouldn't put anyting on it at home to go darker, because just like it grabbed that purple....it will grab the undertone of the color you put on it. however, it will not wash out.

you need to only put the bleach on your roots and never on your midshaft and ends! not only will it continue to get lighter, it will also cause breakage!

my call is, this is when you do need a professional. you could also talk to them and tell them why you started doing it at home and they should give you some pointers. i can't tell you too much without seeing your hair. feel free to email me if you want and send me a pic.

Serious Hair Color Problem!!! HELP!!!!!!?

I have been there. At my worst, I dyed my hair and it was too blonde, so I stripped it and recolored it the same day. Made my hair feel like straw. I suggest a rinse (probably a dark color to blend in the purple) and a deep condition.

Serious Hair Color Problem!!! HELP!!!!!!?

The purple shampoo is meant to get yellow out of hair of people whose hair is grey from environmental causes like smoking, etc.

It can and often does leave some purple behind. Try washing your hair with club soda to wet it, regular shampoo, then club soda to rinse, then water.

As for a toner, yes Sally's has them, but you have to be very careful what you use because you can turn your hair some very unwanted shades with toners. Some of the Sally's employees know what they're doing and will help. You might be better off with a light colored semi-permanent color that has no developer and that will only color your bleached hair, not your unbleached hair. Something like Beautiful Blondes may fit the bill. In the future let a pro do your hair, just try to find one who's affordable. Maybe a beauty school in your area has a salon where they do work for little money. You'd get a coloring from a student who's ready to graduate under the guidance of a teacher and the student would get needed experience and the school would get some money. An all-around good thing.

My hair is falling out, I think it's my shampoo/conditioner?

-I used Herbal Essences for 4 months and my hair never seemed to grow and was really thin, I never knew why..

-So I switched to Garnier from Herbal Essences and my hair seemed to fall out A LOT less..

-The I used Garnier length and strength shampoo %26amp; infuseium 23 conditioner for a month and my hair came out A LOT less..

-THEN..last night I ran out of I23 Conditioner so I bought Herbal Essences conditioner again and used it about 10 minutes ago in my shower and my hair started coming out in my hands..

- Then I went to go brush my hair and it was all packed in my comb..

-Maybe I'm allergic to Herbal Essences??

-I have heard other rumors about Herbal Essences making your hair fallout??

My hair is falling out, I think it's my shampoo/conditioner?

yes yes you could be allergic to something Herbal Essences uses in there shampoo and conditioner

My hair is falling out, I think it's my shampoo/conditioner?

YEAH... I also heard about that. It happened to me. I think you should stop useing it right away and never buy it again. Because you my friend are allergic to it!

My hair is falling out, I think it's my shampoo/conditioner?

i have heard about herbal essences making your hair fall out!

it has something to do with the amount of fragrance they put in there product i think..

i would just stay away from it and get a new shampoo and conditioner (one that is very moisturizing)

....Hair help?

Ok my hair is naturally medium brown. Right now i have blonde highlights (but they kinda got over-done so it almost looks like i partially dyed my hair blonde lol) ok but umm in a couple months i was thinking of dying my hair a brownish-red color (kinda like dark auburn with less red). I was wondering, if i kept the highlights, would the hair color come out looking diff. colors in some spots since some of my hair is brown and some is blonde? Should i get rid of the highlights or can they stay?? and plz dont answer if you dont know.....becuz i dont just want neone guessing.

....Hair help?

unfortunatly there i no easy way to go about things. to get rid of the highlights you will need to fill the highlights first with a colour 2 shades lighter than your target shade. it will need to be a copper gold colour with a base level of a 6. that only needs to me on for 5 - 10 mins. then apply the neww colour all over the hair. if you dont fill first the highlighted parts will be lighter than the rest of the hair. to keep the highlights. you will need to section out the parts of the hair you want to keep blonde and colour the rest.

....Hair help?

you can color over it and the highlights will "pop" back through but theyll take the color also (just lighter) so they will look natural. if you dont want to keep them then youll need a filler before you color and will probably have to go to a salon so as not to risk an unwanted result

....Hair help?

if you keep the blonde highlights and dye your hair, people will notice that there are two different hair colors or tones. you can try leaving them on if they were dyed not bleached because the color fades. sometimes the hair will come out looking like a light and medium tone and they match very well but its better not to risk it. try it on a weekend and see how it comes out.

....Hair help?

well i streaked my hair with bleach so it looked like yours. i've had it like that for about 3 months, and last week i died it reddish, and for me where the highlights are the color was alot more intense, but i used color pulse, not permanent stuff for the red so it will probably have different results from garnier or something.

....Hair help?

if you put just a color over top of the highlights, then you will still see them somewhat. your hair needs to be color filled and then you could put the darker on.

just remeber if you were to put the same 2 colors on 2 different people (your natural and your highlighted hair) the color is never the same. your final result would be uneven. besides, your hair may grab the undertone of the color that is being put on it if it is not color filled.

don't try this at home, it is a complicated process and needs to be done correctly.

Curly hair grows slower?

Does curly hair grow slower than straight hair? I have naturally curly hair, not coarse or kinky ( I'm Hispanic). I've cut my hair (not trimmed) a few times and I want to grow it a little longer than I've ever grown it/had it before. But it seems to me that curly hair stops growing at a certain point because I've seen many girls who have curly hair and it DOES NOT grow beyond midway of the back when straightened.

Any advice or information?

Curly hair grows slower?

I have curly hair, and it grows very fast. Every person's hair grows at a different rate; average is about 1-2 cm/month, I think, but mine grows faster than that.

Also, not everyone's hair grows indefinitely. Everyone has a point at which the length of hair slows down; that's why the girls whom you are talking about only have hair midway down their backs. This is because follicles are programmed in two phases: the 'growth' phase and the 'rest' phase. The follicle produces new cells during the growth phase, and during the rest phase the follicle breaks and a new hair begins growing in its place (thus beginning a new growth phase). Arm hair, for example, has a shorter growth phase than head hair, so it stops growing at a shorter length. So this is not a characteristic of curly hair, but of everyone's hair. The maximum length of a person's hair is determined by the growth phase length of his or her follicles, so it varies from person to person.

If you keep your hair trimmed, there will be less breakage of the hair and you should be able to grow it out. There is no way to make hair grow faster; just keep it healthy and it will keep growing! :)

Curly hair grows slower?

I have curly hair as well, and I've never noticed a difference.

Curly hair doesn't ever seem as long as straight hair because...well, it's curly. Curly hair is also more prone to breakage, because at every bend (curl), the hair is weaker and has a tendency to snap off.

Straighten hair after applying hair color spray?

well, my hair is not exactly straight and i was wondering if i can apply the (non-permanent) hair color spray on my hair(before i straighten it) and then straighten my hair afterwards.

can it work?

hair damage?

it's just for 1 day

Straighten hair after applying hair color spray?

Do not spray on the color before straightening your hair. Your hair will get burnt %26amp; the color will get on the iron.

Straighten hair after applying hair color spray?

i think the color will stick onto the straightener...and hair damage for sure

Straighten hair after applying hair color spray?

it might work but it might also just strip the color right out

thats what happened to my hair when i did it

if your hair is long or medium long i'd use big hot rollers to make sure to not strip color but also to creat a hot style

it will definatly damage it

Straighten hair after applying hair color spray?

sure go right ahead

Straighten hair after applying hair color spray?

Straigten first.

It will heat up and make ur straightner all sticky it will also damage ur hair!

Straighten hair after applying hair color spray?

Straighten your hair first, then apply the colour because I've tried that before and not only did it fade the colour with the heat, it ruined my sister's straightners too xxxx

Straighten hair after applying hair color spray?

I don't really think that is a good idea.

Its not good for your hair.

It will take out the colour in your hair.

will leave your straightener with colour marks.

Hair Wax Worth It?

Hello. I am what I like to describe as "poofy polak hair"(I'm Polish). It's kind of like an afro, but it's blond. It's think and sticks out in all directions. In order to tame it, I have to use Got2beGlued hair gel. It's the only stuff that could hold my hair. However I read about hair wax and how good it is. I really want to give it a try, but is it worth buying? Will it give me good results? Any brands to suggest? I heard SumoTech Bumble and Bumble is very good. Thanks for the help. I might post picks of my hair. :D

Hair Wax Worth It?

yes i use it because makes my hair shine and take away the frizz it is much better than gel, loreal

Hair Wax Worth It?

hair wax is ok but better for teasing. My friend has exactly the same type of hair and using alcohol-free kids hair gel (loreal kids) works really well!!

Hair Wax Worth It?

This may sound stupid---and sound like a brittney spears coppy cat...but hair waxing? actualy I heard shaving is best..becaus with shaving hair grows back and a decent rate and it will grow back strang and thign and not poofy....it may sound weird but works

HAIR HELP!! I think my hair is DAMAGED!?

this past week after i got my layers haircut, my hair has been so nice and soft and silky. This afternoon i took a shower, and i went outside when it was tied up in a ponytail and wet. When it got dry i untied my hair, and it was very poofy frizzy, and dry. What happened to the once soft and silky hair i had? It also got more wavy, and less striaghter than it used to be.Will this go away tomorrow, or will my hair be like this forever?

HAIR HELP!! I think my hair is DAMAGED!?

it will go back to the way it was if u wash ur hair again and try leave in conditioner protects ur hair and protects ur hair from sun and it helps damaged hair or prevent it from damaged hair

HAIR HELP!! I think my hair is DAMAGED!?

its probably just cuz of the heat.

HAIR HELP!! I think my hair is DAMAGED!?

the reason it's more wavy is because it is at different lengths and that changes like that.

HAIR HELP!! I think my hair is DAMAGED!?

unless u've been using lots of heat on it or products it will go away because its only frizzy cuz u tied it up when it was wet

let it dry before u tie it

HAIR HELP!! I think my hair is DAMAGED!?

Your hair is probally not damaged. It's proabally just the way it dried and the sunlight. Next time when you dry your hair, leave it down or blow dry your hair on cool air. If your hair stays poofy and frizzy, try a smoothing milk in your ahir while you are blow drying your hair. While you are blow drying your hair brush your hair with a paddle like brush.

Good luck.

HAIR HELP!! I think my hair is DAMAGED!?

Well, it probably got more wavy because you cut off some of the weight that was weighing it down, making it straighter.

Your hair wont be damaged unless you damaged it (Colored, straightened, chemicals, blowdry, ect).

HAIR HELP!! I think my hair is DAMAGED!?

Get in the shower with dry hair and put conditioner on your *dry* hair first, saturating the ends and frizzy places of your hair, even before shampooing. Let the conditioner sit on your hair for a few minutes while you shampoo your scalp and roots. Then rinse out like normal. Quick fix and it works!!!

HAIR HELP!! I think my hair is DAMAGED!?

2 questions-did they cut your hair with a razor, and was it dry when they cut it? If so, they've probably caused you to get split ends. It's okay, though, you can go to Sallys and get a reconstructing conditioner. Then, when you shampoo your hair, put the reconstructor on, leave it on for at least 5 minutes, or longer if you have time. I usually put a shower cap over it and clean house or watch TV! Then rinse. It helps put protein back into your hair and make it nice and soft again!

HAIR HELP!! I think my hair is DAMAGED!?

No. It wont be. this happened to me too. When your hair is wet and in a pony it will be wavy b/c of the pony tail. it is frizzy cause the sun dried your hair out. To get your hair soft and silky again wash your hair, blow dry it, and straighten it with a flat iron.

also put in some leave in conditioner or straightening cream.

HOPE THAT HELPS!!!!

HAIR HELP!! I think my hair is DAMAGED!?

ok, dont worry the only way you can damage your hair is through chemicals (hair dye, bleach, perms. etc.) its juss now that your hair is shorter and lighter, it tends to poof, everyone who had there hair layered (and most likely thinned) will have this effect, your juss gonna have to flat iron your hair every morning, just like the rest of us.

p.s. a good flat iron is ceramic, if its not ceramic dont bother buying it, your juss gonna have a hard time with it

dont worry, i work in a hair beauty supply store, everyone worrys about these things

HAIR HELP!! I think my hair is DAMAGED!?

okay the poofy-ness is from the layering that you got...the frizzy and dry part was probably from sitting out in the sun...and the wavy was from your hair drying in a tied up ponytail...especially while it's wet....it's the equivalent of ironing your hair (bending your hair and then heating it up)

consider using a conditioner the next time you wash your hair and don't put it up in a pony tail while it's still wet or at least dry it with a hair dryer before putting it up...

hope it helps!

HAIR HELP!! I think my hair is DAMAGED!?

Hi!!!

Don't panic! First of all, remember that the hair dresser dried you hair and styled it to make it really smooth and straight.

What's happened to you is totally normal. I think you should buy a hair mask (Garnier is a great brand). You can also buy a hair iron to make you r hair really straight, but don't use it too much or you hair will get damaged.

Hope I helped!

Fashion Chick!*

HAIR HELP!! I think my hair is DAMAGED!?

dont leave it to dry. blow dry it. comb while you blow. conditionar also helps, but dont get it too near your scalp, because it blocks the pores and gives you dandruff

What are some cool hairstyles for 2inch hair? Not much?

Right now my hairs only two inches long. I have curly-ish straight hair. It's only a bit of curl, it's more straight than curly. Right now I'm growing my hair untill it's up to my eyebrows (btw how long do you think that would take from now since my hair is 2 inch long?)What are some hair styles I can do with this much hair.

1)Black hair

2)Currently have bangs but small ones

3)About 2 inch hair

4)Normal shaped head lol

5)head is a little small but not to small, It's big enough to have some hair on it. I guess I'm the only one who thinks my head is small (all in my head).

6)I'm a bit slim (body)

And one more question, this is seperate from the other question. if I were to go to a salon, what hair style can I ask them to do for me that would look nice with only 2 inches of hair? This is just or now until I grow my hair more.

What are some cool hairstyles for 2inch hair? Not much?

Well I would recommend waiting a little longer before you go to a salon. If your hair grows fast a couple of months will give you more hair to work with,

You might be surprised what you can do.

A pixie do would be cute as could be on you with dark hair and partly curly. I saw a movie actress with a do like that and it sure looked darling.

You have everything going for you...

EXTENSIONS WORKS FOR ME

Growing Hair got dry hair/puffy if i dont use any oil.?

I am growing my hairs since past 5 months. The problem i got is my hairs are very dry so it only looks good as long as they are wet after i wash my hairs, the moment they get dry then they become puffy and dry looking and it shows my head size tripple big then normal :(.. I use johnson baby oil or sometimes sunslik hair cream to keep them tighten and wet looking and to make them stay combed and behind! I need to know what to do to make my hairs look wet and not dry and also to not become puffy.. Please give any helpful advise... many thanks!

Growing Hair got dry hair/puffy if i dont use any oil.?

Is your hair naturally curly? If so, this may be your problem. If you brush your hair when it is wet, or when it is a tiny bit damp, your hair will definitely turn you into a human mushroom. I too use oil at times, but don't use baby oil! it is better to use natural oils like Palmer's Cocoa Oil. It comes from the cocoa beans that are the basis for chocolate. Just a tiny, dime-sized amount combed through your hair with your fingers will do it. But, do this only after getting out of the shower with soaking wet hair, and scrunching your hair with a towel a bit to get the extra water off. After that, while it is still damp, DO NOT brush your hair! The cuticle of your hair will be damaged, causing frizz and poofiness. You should finger-comb your hair after spraying with the spray mentioned later on. Also, shampooing your hair will literally strip most of the nutrients from your hair. Think of dish detergent, like Dawn soap that you wash dishes with. Shampoo and the Dawn are almost the same, in that they both contain large amounts of detergents. you wouldnt want to put dish soap in your hair, so do yourself a favor and use ONLY conditioner. Conditioner seriously can clean hair without the nasty detergents. Massage a handful of your favorite conditioner into your hair and then finger-comb it through. after doing this until your hair feels saturated, clean your scalp almost the same way. scrub in circles gently. also, you do not have to wash your hair every day, if you dont put in oil. you can washit every 2 days, if you spray your hair with one part conditioner and 2 parts water in an empty, cleaned-out hairspray bottle. This will ensure that your hair received enough moisture without having to wash it in the shower. Sure, get it wet! but make sure to condition your hair every day. Scrunch your hair with Aussie Catch the Wave Taming Milk. You can also use it to smooth out your poofiness. Good luck and God Bless!

Growing Hair got dry hair/puffy if i dont use any oil.?

only use shampoo once a week..but use conditioner every time you take a shower

Growing Hair got dry hair/puffy if i dont use any oil.?

buy some serum and put 1 pump in your hand, then comb through.

Growing Hair got dry hair/puffy if i dont use any oil.?

try using a serum that holds in hairs natural moisture ... also that gets rid of friz breakage and flyaways ;)

Growing Hair got dry hair/puffy if i dont use any oil.?

Try Frizz-Ease Hair Serum by John Freida, it works pretty good... You might also wanna try Pantene Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner for Smooth or Sleek (I can't remember exactly which one the bottle says) hair, it works pretty good too!!!

Growing Hair got dry hair/puffy if i dont use any oil.?

dont use shampoo alot then

Growing Hair got dry hair/puffy if i dont use any oil.?

I wouldnt take sures advice... lol basically, dont condition, unless you have a thinning coditioner. If it is a thickening, your hair will become more puffed up, and thats not what you need, as far as shampoo, i would just use a good old run of the mill suave bottle, thats not specific toward any hair. That will sove your problem, but also dont forget to brush your hair a lot.

Growing Hair got dry hair/puffy if i dont use any oil.?

Well...Baby Oil is a big no. I would get a scalp treatment at a salon once a week. You can even get one at a beauty school for $6. Also, I would invest in a PROFESSIONAL shampoo that reconstructs your hair. It adds protein which is what your hair is made up of mostly. A standard bottle of professional shampoo will last 3 months whereas a crap shampoo bought in Wal-Mart will last less than a month, so you're actually saving $20 or more. Professional products are pH balanced for your hair while store-bought products tend to be too acidic or alkaline.

Growing Hair got dry hair/puffy if i dont use any oil.?

There's this product called wild growth and it works really well. You can find it at your local sally's.It makes your hair grow, makes it soft, and manegable. It only cost about $7-$10

You should try it I know you'll love it.

Growing Hair got dry hair/puffy if i dont use any oil.?

take an avacado, remove the skin and mash it up. add some plain yoghurt and a few teaspoons of oil. mix this properly and apply to your hair. leave for 15-20 minutes and then wash off. dont wory about the smell.

Hair Gel vs. Wax - Final Round?

Ok. . . I've documented myself and Gel is better than mousse, since it contains some water in it... [That's what the docs said] However can't seem to find the comparison/contrast between gel and wax.. Which is better?

I recently started to notice some hair fall since I can barely see through my scalp (I'm a teen) and it may due to some stress which I had(have) for some exams..

I'm trying to stay away from shampooes since they tend to soften my hair too much, and won;t like that to be the cause of my hair-fall. However, i user water and conditionr for my short (well kind of medium) hair..

Apart from that I used to use gel or mousse (if i wanted the style to last less compared to gel) and my cousin has reccomended wax..

Now, which is better? I have "normal" hair length and a bit oily by nature...

Hair Gel vs. Wax - Final Round?

wax is better for your hair and scalp than gel though just like any product trial and error will find you the perfect brand several waxes as very greasy. i use kiwi spray wax and that's just me preferences very from person to person and different stylist swear by different products

Hair Gel vs. Wax - Final Round?

btw, don't NOT shampoo your hair - just use something gentler. Go to your health food store and find something more natural. You may want to use a clarifier once in awhile. Also your hair could be oily because you are out of balance. If you are using something that strips away too much or aren't getting the proper nutrition, it could impact your hair.

If you don't want to shampoo everyday, use a conditioner in the shower. Being clean doesn't make your hair fall out. Just get a good night's sleep, watch what you eat, etc.

Also, everyone loses a bit of hair everyday whether they are going bald or not. Hair texture and volume changes a lot in our teens and 20s though for both guys and gals.

I would say wax is better but it also depends on the result you want to achieve.

better yet, give your hair a short break. Part of your hair being oilier could be just build up

Hair dying dilemma?

I'm currently 13 weeks pregnant, but before I even knew I was pregnant I dyed my hair a number of time. Anyways, to get to the point I had dyed my hair what I thought was brown ended up looking dark purple. So the only thing that would cover that up was black. Now my hair is down to brown, but I have real light hair and my roots are showing terribly. How can I strip the rest of the dye out of my hair to get to my original color?? Thanks for your help!

Hair dying dilemma?

When your pregnant, EVERYHTING in your body takes on a new chemical composition so to speak. I would recomend just going to your local hairstylist. I know Visible Changes (some malls have them) has people just for dying purposes and it's not that expensive. I wouldn't try any more "do-it-yourself" treatments because it will probably only get worse.

Hair dying dilemma?

go to a beauty supply store and ask them for hair stripper.

Hair dying dilemma?

dye your hair agian the color of your natural hair color.

Hair dying dilemma?

hair dye is bad for the unborn child. wearing a hat or visiting a hairdresser is my advice!

Hair styles??

ok so i am getting a hair cut from my aunt this friday, and i am donating to locks of love becasue my hair is very long, but in order to donate ,i need about 8-10 inches cut off so that means that after the cut,my hair length will be at least 2 inches above my shoulders. becasue my hair is very curly and frizzy, when i get the haircut i am going to straighten it every day so i don't look like i have a football for a head...so i need some styles for short, straight hair.

if you can help me that would be great!!!

Hair styles??

umm you can always do a poof ! and leave your bangs down. or you can put a headband in and also leave your bangs down

hope i helped :]

Hair styles??

big bangs.

layers!!

i love short hair!!

Hair styles??

Hmph! Well my hair grows like 3 inches past my shoulder. It's not like I can donate anything. But, last year I cut it 2 inches above my shoulders, and had it round my face. I straigented it every morning though, or I put it in a ponytail.

Hair styles??

i don't think its good to straighten your hair everyday, it could fry it...but its your hair so you can do wht ever u want.

Hair styles??

That is a very bad length for naturally curly hair. when it is short your hair will curl even more cos now there is less weight to pull it down.

Is permanent straightening (re-bonding) an option for u? because if u straighten it everyday, it is very damaging for your already naturally dry hair, not to mention the frizz.

How bad are your curls? if possible, it is always easier to work with your curls, not against them. if they curl the way u want, good for you. But i doubt u like your curls. So perm it (surprised?). u can actually perm it into less pronounced curls so that it is more managable. I have a friend who did tat and it works, really well. just use a lovely clip to pin one side of your hair (above the ear) and u look really sweet.

Hair story// need urgent advice please?

Ok for the past 3/4 years ive died my hair semi-perminant dark brown/black. like every 5 weeks. i did it perminant like 3 times within those years.

i then decided to get rid of the dark hair so i waited 5 weeks after my last colouring to get it a natural light brown/blondish with blonde bits.

the hairdressers stripped my hair, died it %26amp; bleached it. It took them 2 days. So that was 2 days of stuff done to my hair

a couple of weeks pasts %26amp; i don't really like it tbh.

i still want the blondish colour i choose. And now i don't know how long to wait to get it done properly. I dooo have long hair too. I don't want it to fall out, so i don't know how long to wait %26amp; hide away till i can get it done?

Hair dye on wavy hair?

I only see pictures of

awesome hair dye colors (aka unnatural colors!)

on people with straightened hair.

Would it look good on people with nice wavy (almost curly) hair? I don't have the time to straigten my hair every day!

Anyone got pictures?

Hair dye on wavy hair?

Um...why wouldn't it? I have really corkscrew curly hair and I dye my hair, and I don't straighten it. I know lots of people with dyed hair and their hair isn't straight.

And yes, I mean unnatural colors. I've done purple, pink, red and I'm about to go blue. It looks good.

Hair dye on wavy hair?

I think if your hair is wavy a u should dye it brown and blond highlight or if you like reddish brown that would be nice too. It depends on your skin tone

Hair dye on wavy hair?

on wavy hair that is almost curly looks not that great in unnatural colors. i think they look good in natural colors like if u have brown (or dark brown)hair you could add bits of lighter brown or a red that compliments that brown as an example

Hair dye on wavy hair?

ive no pictures

but in the grren day video - jesus of suburbia

the main girl in it

has brown streaks im not sure about colour

but it looks nice

my hair is wavy

ive had red and im going to have blue

try a srpay in it makes your hair feel like straw until you wash it out (it only lasts until you shampoo) and see if it looks good if not not do it

if you like it then do it

Hair dye on wavy hair?

"Unnatural" colors can look just as well on curly or wavy hair. Light may reflect a little differently on waves or curls, but the end result should still be the same color, but if you you're worried about hair color looking a little flat on your tresses, try getting highlights (color lighter than your haircolor of choice) or lowlights (a darker color than your hair color of choice) to

accent the "unnatural" color. If you're looking for a deep red/rasberry color, I would suggest carmel highlghts to help it stand out, or if you're going for a copper-red, I would have light blonde highlights, if unnatural meaning the "blues, purples, yellows or oranges" I would get low or highlights done to your hair first, then add the blues, purples etc...because doing the high/low lighting first gives your hair a different texture (not the feel) but the look of texture, and when you add blue for example...your end result will be various shades of blue...if you had lowlights, the blue on those areas would be darker than the rest of your and vice versus, if you have any q's e-mail or try going to a salon and ask them if they have any books or mags with unusual hair colors.. look for your hair texture (wavy) but disregard the haircut or style of the picture, this will help you make a more logical decesion....also the most important thing to remember make sure that whatever color you choose will flatter your skintone. If you're super pail I don't suggest extreme unnatural colors. I am and I've done mettalic blue (that was a bad decision). I hope this helps

Hair Cuts? Hair Dye?

I have very very dark brown hair. I want to go for a short pixie-like haircut, with serious bangs. Kinda punk.

My pale-skinned friend died her hair purple and black and it looked beautiful. My skin is a medium olive. Suggest what colours I should die my hair? I straighten it every day, so maybe only afew highlights would be a good idea.

Suggest good haircuts and hair dye colour for an olive-skinned girl like me?

Hair Cuts? Hair Dye?

Well if you want to do some crazy, un natural colors (i.e. not browns / blond) then i suggest you dye your hair a light shade of brown before you put in any color. If you dont then the dye wont show up to well (trust me - i have dark hair too and the color only shows in the light) andit will only tint your hair, not dye it. Hair color takes to lighter hair colors best.

Well i would suggest maybe some shades of red or pink.

Also since you have an oval shapped face i would do a layered look to compliment your face. The bangs would really help frame your face (to make it not look too long - since you also have a long neck).

But what ever you choose just make sure you love it. GOOD LUCK!

Hair dye on bleached hair?

i have platinumblonde hair but i want to go more of a light ash blonde. if i put an ash blonde box dye on my hair will turn grey, so what would be the best thing to do?

i dont want to make my hair darker, and i fear that if i use a golden then an ash that my hair will not take it as it was bleached to go platinum.

would an ash toner work?

or a natural ash?

please dont say go to a hairdresser, i cant afford to :(

thanks in advance :)

Hair dye on bleached hair?

You can use complements by Clairol demi color and get the color prompter that goes with it. I use 8N and it brings my hair to a pretty natural blonde. They sell it at Sally Beauty supply you can get both for about 6.00...I think you will be happy with it. It is a semi permanent toner..and your hair will not fall out.this stuff will condition..When you go in Sally tell them what you need..You just need the toner not anymore color...I have played with my hair at home and gone to salons for years and I have healthy hair..I've also learned a lot because I have had many salon mishaps..They don't always know what they are doing.

Hair dye on bleached hair?

The most important thing is not to color your hair too soon after it was just bleached. Your hair can actually fall out if you dye it too much, too soon. You can also ruin your hair. You don't want blonde straw on your head :(

Why don't you try sun-bleaching it?? The sun does wonders for people's hair, and it's getting warmer out :)

Hair dye on bleached hair?

Your best bet is to use a rinse-in temporary toner like Fanciful, it's really hard to judge the porosity of hair with out seeing it and I've seen platinum hair go quite bad when trying to restore tonal value.

Hair dye on bleached hair?

bad idea little lady, your hair is going to fall out

Hair dye on bleached hair?

First of all after bleach do not use normal hair dye. You MUST use a semi permanent wash out dye. Clairol makes a great wash out dye!

Here is the reasoning: bleach goes 6 levels of the hair, normal hair dye only goes 3. so bleach is really damaging and normal dye can't over power the bleach so the colour just washes out and the roots will stay the colour you dyed it. Not pretty. So you use the less harsh dye which is wash out semi permanent and the colour will slowly fade away. After a few dyes with wash out stuff than you can switch to a permanent because the wash out would have gotten deep enough into the hair that the permanent will hold.

Secondly toners work great as long as you follow the directions however after bleach I'm really not sure.

I'd get a bottle of ash colour dye from clairol wash out semi permanent dye.

I hope this works for you. It works for me and others who I've dyed their hair.

Hair is changing texture.?

I have always had normal/dry hair, slightly wavy. Overall, I've been pretty happy with it. I had a baby 1 month ago, and towards the end of my pregnancy, I noticed the hair on the top of head was really gross - like I'd put way too much styling product. I thought it was another weird pregnancy thing, but now my child is 6 weeks and my hair is still gross. Today I put NO product in my hair and the top is greasy and matted. But the rest is normal. Has anyone ever heard of something like this, or know how to fix it?? I just want clean looking hair when it really is clean.

Hair is changing texture.?

Maybe this will help?

A co-worker of mine was a natural straight-haired female. After she had her son, her hair thickened up and is as curly as can be.

She hates her new hair, but she's stuck with it. Her son is almost 2 yrs old, and no change yet. Still thick %26amp; curly.

I would suggest going to a top-of-the-line hair specialist at a beauty salon and see what products and techniques working your hair that will help. You can also check at the health food stores and see what products they have there. Since your hormones were changed %26amp; a by-product of that was a different type of hair, then maybe a nutrientist or dermatologist can assist you in what you can consume on the inside that will help balance out your hormones.

Hair is changing texture.?

Your hormones are still adjusting, honey. It'll be OK in a couple of months.

Hair is changing texture.?

I'm not sure what this is, maybe your doctor would?

If it doesnt look clean you could try Pantene clarifying shampoo or Herbal essences Degunkifying shampoo. They are suppose to be really good at cleaning hair. Because sometimes my hair is like that if i dont wash my hair and even when i was my hair when i put creme, mousse, and hair spray. Lay off the product and maybe try a better shampoo.

Hair is changing texture.?

It could be dandruff. Sometimes you get oily head followed with flakes. Wash hair every day.

Hair is changing texture.?

Your body is basically confused with all the hormonal changes that just happened inside your body. Don't worry though, just follow these few steps and you'll have the hair you want again.

1) Shampoo once or twice per day, especially if you live in the city. Environment... especially humidity, is a stimulant for the sweat glands. Shampooing helps decrease the oil secretion.

2) Pick out a see-through shampoo, because it adds less "stuff" you your already stressed out hair. Any will do.

3) Massage your scalp when applying shampoo. It squeezes the excess oil out of your scalp.

4) Lather Rinse REPEAT. Shampoo twice, and leave the shampoo in for 3-5 minutes.

5) If your hair keeps getting oilier, cut the conditioning to every other time you shampoo. Conditioner is meant for hair that is dry, and so it isn't needed on a daily or even ever other day basis. If you really want a conditioner... get one that isn't meant for dry hair and don't apply it to your scalp.

6) Apply a mixture of equal parts witch hazel and mouthwash, with cotton pads, to the scalp only after shampooing. It works as an astringent which slows down the amount of oil secreated from your scalp.

7) Don't brush your roots more than once or twice. It spreads the oil from your scalp down through your hair.

Try this. I hope it helps and your hair should return to normal in a couple of months. If not, consider getting a haircut that cuts body into your hair.

well any help will be appreciated :)

What hair product will make ur hair look natural but still styled..?

fructis do a great fibre gum, it has an orange label with "switch" on the top, but if you put a tiny bit through your fingers you can style it anyway you want - better to use it on damp hair. i tried mousse, gel, wax, a ton of stuff but it kept leaving residue or being sticky or greasy looking but this stuff is really good. wow they should pay me for this kind of promotion!

What hair product will make ur hair look natural but still styled..?

The absolute best product for what you're looking for is called Texture Dirt from FX Special Effects. You can get it at any Walgreens. You'll love it!

What hair product will make ur hair look natural but still styled..?

frankly all hair products are nearly the same results, wetty, hard, oily looking. natural coconut oil, not commercial one, if you can manage to have natural coconut oil, i think this is the best, makes your hair soft and easy to manage. this is thru my experience.

Highlights can add texture to your hair, making straight hair easier to syle. Sounds like you need better shampoo %26amp; conditioner otherwise it won't matter what the cut is.

Hair tips pls.?

If you like the "punk" look, how about short? Really short. off the ears so it doesn't stick out, tapered up the back, with length enough on top to goop up and spike?

Hair Help Please? Tons of Answers needed?

Please help me this is my last resort involving my hair. My hair is puffy and a little frizzy. I have tried product after product, 100$ worth in fact, I need creative solutions. I try a serum like sunsilk frizzease or matrix and i put it in and it puff out like a marshmellow. nothing works. i straighten my hair, tried blowdrying, have had it relaxed, thinned out and layered and it just made it worse. i am looking for creative solutions that are fast and easy. please help me! right now my hair is a little wavy but not much and i air dry my hair. thanks in advance (no stupid jokes!)

Hair Help Please? Tons of Answers needed?

Wow.. Try this.

Always rinse with the coldest water you can stand after using a shampoo and conditioner for straight hair. The cold water "locks down" the hair cuticle and makes hair appear slicker, less frizzy.

Use a weekly home remedy "hair mask." My hair dresser told me about this one and I have been hooked ever since. Mix one egg to one part mayo and one part olive oil. Make a paste and apply to hair. Wrap hair in a towel and allow to work at least 30 minutes. Rinse out and shampoo and condition as usual. Hair will have a smooth, shiny appearance.

Blow dry methodically. This can take practice and time, but it is worth it. Use a big round brush that will allow you to smooth your hair as you dry. Always blow in a downward motion. Running the dryer over hair up and down causes the cuticle to frizz and split. Divide hair into sections with curler pins and dry one section at a time.

After washing your hair, add a small amount of Natural Vegetable Glycerin to your mousse or gel. I add approximately a dime size amount of Glycerin to about a quarter size amount of gel in my hand. I wet my other hand with just a dab of water. Rub hands to mix the water, glycerin and gel. Run through hair and style as usual.

If you prefer to add your styling products to dry hair, simply mix the glycerin with a small amount of water to thin. Then run it through the dry strands. Cures my frizzies everytime.

Having tried everything over many years to tame my frizz, the best and most economical products are Suave brand "coconut" flavor shampoo and conditioner. The trick is not to wash out all the conditioner. Leave some in your hair when you rinse. You will smell delicious and your frizz will be curly and you will be happy!

go to a salon.

Hair Help Please? Tons of Answers needed?

Try getting a razor cut bob hair style and use a leave in spray conditioner.

Hair Help Please? Tons of Answers needed?

check out these products..aussie, john frieda (frizz serums only!! the shampoo's and conditioners arent too great)

i used to have frizzy, very "poofy" and wavy hair... no i just have shiny and silky wavy hair.. no frizz or poof.. your hair is so distressed right now.. you need major healing..

goodluck! treat your hair with care!

Hair Help Please? Tons of Answers needed?

I would go to the best stylist I could afford....you are not addressing the core issue....dryness. It should have either a hot oil or deep conditioning treatment where you stay in the salon for at least two hours to get that hair back in shape.

I had a very bad perm that not only dried out my hair, but stripped all the color. When she took the rollers off, my hair went with them because she was trying to do three perms at once and left them on too long without checking the curl and condition. In addition to a cash settlement and hair products, my hair could never go back to being brunette.

Hair Help Please? Tons of Answers needed?

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

Long hair for a guy?

I've always had my hair very short, and I want to try to grow it out some. The problem is that it looks terrible right now in the in between stages. I've noticed the difference in my hair and others' is that the longest hair actually origionates in the back, unlike mine which all hair is pretty much equal length. Is there a certain way I should get it cut to help give me the longer-hair, messy look? Also, my hair is very thick, will it look bad longer?

Long hair for a guy?

Unless you're Fabio or a 1980s rock band, leave your hair short.

Long hair for a guy?

Use a hair straightner.

Long hair for a guy?

I love long hair on guys. No matter what you do, there will be an awkward stage. Be patient, do what my boyfriend does, hairspray.

Long hair for a guy?

just let it grow. i think long hair on a guy can look very good. the advice to straighten it is good advice, though. use a glass straightener (metal can break and shred your hair), and use a good "hydrating" or "moisturizing" conditioner.

Long hair for a guy?

Long hair on a man is sexy! While it will take longer to get the look you want, it is worth it. You might also try getting your hair thinned(at a beauty shop). That will help make it less bushy and messy. Also, you should keep it all one length, that is the best look on men.

Long hair for a guy?

keep growing it and throw a hat on...do the messy look but now trashy and then once its long surprise everyone and cut it all off and then they'll really realize what they've been missing all that time.

Long hair for a guy?

you could try getting extensions until your hair grows a bit longer

as for actual cuts its hard to say without actually seeing you hair but maybe some feathering/layering would make it look more natural, you should still keep most of your length too

Long hair for a guy?

i think it would be better for u to keep ur hair short.. guys look way hotter with nice and short hair so why bother keeping it long?? btw it's hard to maintain long hair esp in ur case...

Long hair for a guy?

If your meaning the shaggy look guys have nowadays, get you hair cut in long layers on top and cropped at the back. That should grow it into the style I think your asking for. Kinda like the messed up a little below the ear thing?

Long hair for a guy?

My only advice is to keep trimming the ends frequently and it will grow faster. Thick hair usually grows faster - you can cut the front and thin it all out and let the back grow. Mine is to my waist - be patient.

Long hair for a guy?

I think that it is a great thing to want to change your style. Try going to a good hairdresser and ask them to shape it for you. They will cut a little but off, but it will help keep you from wearing a hat for however long it takes you to grow it out. If you want shaggy layers, ask for them. Be specific. If you find a good hairdresser. they will be able to help you.

Long hair for a guy?

Long hair .....

..on guy's ......

..it's just wrong.

Long hair for a guy?

I have had long hair for 30 years and it still shines and as for yours ok, check it out, the longer your hair the more it straightens because of the weight and if you comb hair straight back and trim the ends of every six months you will find it grows faster and the ends you cut are mostly in the back that is why it grows faster in the back and MOST IMPORTANTLY I am 47 years old and my blond hair goes to the center of my back its shiney and I eat lots of jello at least once a day jello has something that works great on hair I recomend long hair to a any one. I mean look at women they all have long hair when there young but the older they get the shorter there hair gets Now why do they do that, they always look better with it long and so will you

Long hair for a guy?

goo. no long hair for a boy.

Long hair for a guy?

I really like long hair on guys if it suits their face. My husband is growing his out and he made it past that awkward stage---finally! It drove him crazy. He uses hairspray, gel and ponytails to get by while it is still growing.

Do not cut it unless you are going to a big event like prom or are getting married. Remember it grows from the root. Give it time. My husband has been growing it for a year and half and has had no trims!!! It is to his shoulders and is beautiful.

Use leave in conditioners, gel, straightening iron or other products but do not cut it. It will not help you and will discourage you from growing it long.

Long hair for a guy?

HHHHHHHHHHHOT! That is like THE style! JK but its really hot and both my cousin and brother have long hair but like, not down to the shoulder or longer, just kinda all the way to the cheek. And it looks best with wavy-ish hair. But be careful what you put in it because it can EASILY look really gross!

Long hair for a guy?

I love long hair!! My bf has long hair and that is what first attracted me to him. It is soooooo sexy!!

Hair-Q&A(101)?

I had very beautiful naturally curly hair and like a dummy i got a relaxer and now i want my natural hair back but I know I know i would have to wait to my relaxed ends grow out but im looking for a temporary fix How can i rollerset my hair to make my hair look like natural curls what kind of rods can i use and waht kind of hair products can i use thanks in advance

Hair-Q%26amp;A(101)?

haha the wonders that a relaxer does. well, you can still use the curler or rollers or whatever other curling things you may own or buy, but the tendency with relaxed hair is that they become straight again even with a mousse, gel or whatever. but you can always use some strength-y hair products to set your hair and make it curly even temporarily, ans continue to use shampoo for curly hair. i once tried it, i have naturally straight hair btw, and it curled. lol. that's true. :)

Hair-Q%26amp;A(101)?

Alright, first of all- Silly woman! If you wanted straight hair you should've just gotten a hot iron!

Now for the tips-

If you want to curl your hair make sure you use a spray or leave-in that has 'heat protecting' qualities so that you won't end up frying your hair.

Secondly, rollers vs irons, it's really a matter of personal preference. Just keep in mind that the bigger the roller/rod, the fuller, looser the curls are going to be. (I never suggest tight, spiral curls for anyone so stick to medium to bigger sizes.)

Hair-Q%26amp;A(101)?

get a strawset. Then you can get some braids, and twists. There are so many styles you can do while transitioning. I recently finished my transition and I cut my relaxed end of 3 monhths ago. Try this website, it's really helpful...

Hair help come in?

ok in my last question i was told that i take showers alot. ok to let u guys know from the beginning i am 13 and i have dandruf. in my last question i was told that the reason why i have dandruf is cuz i shower every mornin and wash my hair every mornin. so i only had to was my hair 2-3 days a week. ok when i started on the next day and took a shower but with out cleaning my hair only with water. a bit later it was flakey but not alot. the problem is if i stop shampooing like after the day i have flakes showin in my hair. but if i shampoo every day i would still have falkes. so is there a way for me to just shower and flakes wouldnt come up like some sort of thing i should do? plus is it ok if water still touches my hair when i shower?and if i keep showering with out shamppoing for 2-3 days a week would the dandruf stop?

P.S. Im a guy.

Hair help come in?

i don't know which questions u've posted .... so i'll just assume...

either it's hereditary.. or ur using a bit too much product.. it could be product build up.. it could be your health.. or diet... try to get rid of it asap bc as u get older... somehow, dandruff increases ur chance of going bald.

i would get a good shampoo and conditioner. i know ur only thirteen but either save up or work for it somehow.. the money... to invest in a good shampoo

depends on where u go and how much ur budget is and what u like...

i'm sure u can get a dandruff shampoo at a pharmacy... i'm not sure if u need prescriptions but it doesn't hurt to ask (call 'em up)

u can purchase... tea tree shampoo/conditioner.. and let it soak in for about 5 minutes or lucky 7 minutes. this will cleanse ur scalp and will help moisturize and soften the hair. it will feel tingly and smells like mint. paul mitchell makes it and i'm sure other brands too. location and salon... price from $12 on up

u can use nioxin shampoo and scalp therapy.. as this will help clean your scalp.. though it's for people whose hair are thinning.. but it doesn't hurt to use it if your hair is not mop like.. depends which salon and location... can be from $14 on up

u can also use crystal treatment. leave it on for 10-20 minutes.... go under heat, and rinse it out.. regis salon should have this.. but call around.. cost $10 average..

Hair help come in?

I didn't read the first question you posted, but I think you received some misleading advice. If you have dandruff (which is a skin condition) you need to use dandruff shampoo. It's that easy. Head and shoulders works well for me, you can use it every day and should notice an improvement in 1-2 weeks. Oh, and taking showers once or even twice a day is not showering a lot.

Hair help come in?

Washing your hair that much may cause dandruff I suggest washing it every other day using dandruff shampoo (head %26amp; shoulders works) and making sure to rinse it really good.

Hair help come in?

Head and Shoulders, baby.

Or see a doctor.

Showering/Shampooing wont make it stop, it might be an allergic reation to your product though.

Hair tips PLZ???

My hair goes to about to my elbow. Its black, no bangs, slightly wavy. When should i brush my hair? And how often? My hair gets tangelled very easily. help with that 2 plz. I try to wash my hair every other day, but i usually only wash it every 3 days. I dont blow-dry or use curling irons, just a towel. I comb my hair when its wet with my normal comb, is this a miskate?

Hair tips PLZ???

Hi! We have about the same type of hair it seems. Mine is own to my waist, and is slightly wavy also.

Mine tends to get tangled too, I will say this: my best friend is leave in conditioner. I cannot live without the stuff. I use regular conditioner in the shower, and then when it gets tangled up, I spray it good with the leave in and work it through. It helps a lot. Or you can go to the kid's aisle and get "No More Tangles".

The washing thing sounds about right. It depends on your own oil in your head. They say that washing everyday isn't good for your hair anyhow, so don't worry. Your routine sounds fine.

I heard that you should pat with a towel instead of rubbing because rubbing stretches the hair and it makes mine tangle more if I scrub.

Use a wide tooth comb when its wet and be gentle if you hit a tangle. No Yanking!

You sound like you have a good routine going for healthy long hair. Best of Luck to you!

Hair tips PLZ???

I have the same problem. If you are using Suave, burn it. All it does is make your hair smell good while slowly tearing it to shreds. I reccomend going to a salon and asking for the good stuff. If you can't afford that, just use head and shoulders like everyone else and maybe get your hair a new style.

Hair tips PLZ???

you should get a layered cut to just below your shoulders for something different. then get side-swept bangs.

Hair problem.wat should i do?

in 2003 ive suffered from hair loss.eversince z texture of my hair has changed.my hair used to b shiny, striaght from z roots but curly at z ends.now it has become completely curly n dull n also frizzy.ive tried all kind of shampoos, conditionners but nothing has really worked.ive even cut my hair short but in vain.wat should i do to help my hair gaining back its original texture?plz help me

Hair problem.wat should i do?

Make sure you don't have split ends so it grows healthier. Well when you shampoo and condition your hair the shampoo takes out texture from your hair so only shampoo every other time. Make sure you brush it after every shower and\or bath. Don't put alot of mousse of hair spray because they make your hair feel like crap. If you wear it up alot then wear it down more or it pulls out your hair and you don't want that to happen. Don't blow dry your hair as much because it makes your hair fall out and don't color your so much and hold back on put things in your hair. Try using more professional product that are cheap because some of this stuff in store make your hair feel horrible. One of the best products in Catwalk or Bead Head or Pureology. I prefer Catwalk because it makes my hair feel really soft. The best thing is to let go natural. Like letting dry on its own and wear it down. I hope that I helped with your problem.

natural curly hair, depending on the texture has little to no shine due to some internal things such as it's cuticle layer, some people naturally have a change in texture due to hormones or medications. you should consult a specialist. or go to a natural hair care professional in your area. get your hair analyzed find out what's going on from the inside. remember the hair is already dead so topical things will never help, only sit on the hair. don't be fooled by commercials and pretty packaging, it's just advertisement for the masses. stick with natural products and work from the inside out. hope this helps you.
