Hair issues. HELP! Easy 10 pts?

Well, I had my hair so long and silky when I was little and now it's starting to get a little rough and frizzy! Not that bad, but still! I have bangs and my hair is a little bit longer than shoulder-length. The thing is, I want super long hair, but it's been impossible since I always have to cut the dry part of hair like every 5 months!

How can I have beautiful, long, sliky hair, without it being damaged that I won't have to go everytime to the salon and have it cut? Best Answer 10 points! Thank you SO MUCH!

Hair issues. HELP! Easy 10 pts?

here are some home remedies which are very good for dry hair. i had dry hair myself but when i tried these tips it was great! they've never been dry again!

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Beat up on an Egg: Separate the white of an egg from the yolk, and whip the white thoroughly. Then add 1 tablespoon of water to the yolk and blend until the mixture is creamy. Next, mix the white and yolk together. Wet your hair with warm water, remove the excess moisture, and apply the egg mixture to your scalp with your fingertips. Massage gently until the froth is worked into your scalp, and then rinse the hair with cool water. Keep applying the mixture until it is used up. Continue to rinse until all of the egg is washed away

Go for the Mayo: Heat up one half cup of mayonnaise until it becomes an oily, white goo and apply to dry, unwashed hair. Cover your hair with a plastic bag and leave on for at least 15 minutes. Then, rinse and shampoo thoroughly.

Mix up a Tropical Treat: Mash one over-ripe banana (the blacker, the better) with a mushy, rotten avocado. Massage this exotic puree into your hair and leave on for at least 15 minutes before washing out鈥n the kitchen sink!).

Grab a Cold One. Beer can give your dry hair a healthy sheen. Before you blow-dry or style, use a pump bottle to spray brew onto your hair. The beer will leave your hair shiny and sleek and its odor will disappear quickly.

In addition to using these home remedies regularly to avoid dry hair, try the following preventative measures:

Avoid overshampooing. Shampooing can wash away the hair's protective oils, so try washing less often and use a mild shampoo labeled "for dry or damaged hair."

Condition regularly. Conditioners protect the hair鈥檚 cuticle layer from splitting from the shaft. Pick a conditioner that works well for your hair and use it after every shampoo.

Wear a hat. Too much exposure to wind and sun can leave hair thirsty.

Trim off split ends. The biggest problem caused by dry hair is split ends. Schedule a trim every six to eight weeks to keep fraying ends under control.

Ease up on the heat. Heat (in the form of blow dryers, as well as straightening and curling irons) can quickly dry out hair. Let your hair air dry occasionally. Try using plastic cylinder rollers to straighten hair by wrapping slightly moist hair under and around rollers for about 10 minutes. For curling, try using sponge rollers overnight or sleeping with moist braids.

Don't swim without a cap. Use a rubber cap to protect your hair from the damaging effects of chlorine. If you must forgo a cap, rub a spoonful of olive oil into your hair before diving in.

Another thing is also putting in lotion in your hair after you have gotten out of the shower and you can also put in lotion in hair after you have dried it.

Just rub some lotion on your finger tips and run it through your hair evenly.

Also, something that will help your hair is to take COLDshowers. What most people dont know is that if you take hot showers, the heat gets rid of the oils and other things that your hair needs to be kept healty and shiney.

Smash an avocado and mix with jojoba and peppermint oils. Make sure its really smooth you may want to put it in a food processor with a little water. Then apply some to your scalp and the rest on your hair. Massage for a minute or so then put on a plastic cap. Leave for 15 to 30 minutes. The avocado and jojoba oils will moisterize and the peppermint will stimulate your scalp to loosen any dead skin and open your pores. It will feel great. Your hair will grow better and won't be dry. :)

Hope this helps!

Use a very mouisturizing condtioner, get hot oil treatments, soak your hair overnight in coconut oil, use heat protectants before you use any styling tools, get your split-ends trimmed every 6 weeks, use a serum after you shower, let your hair air dry, and keep healthy! :]]

While Panteen is a great product, it is really better for your hair to use salon quality products, simply because they do not contain as much alcohol(if any) in them as regular store bought products do. The alcohol in the products is what is drying out your hair and making it rough and frizzy! I love all aveda products and that is what I use on my hair. Its a little bit more pricey but the end result is totally worth it. Also, get your hair trimmed every 6 weeks. You dont have to go to a big time stylist to get this done :) Good luck!

Very Simple...Get hair extensions!!

if you straighten your hair everday, then cut back to 1once every 2 days, then slowly cut back to 2wice a week or something. but when u do straighten use a protective heat spray to help protect ur hair.

use repairing conditioner on your ends! whenever you wash

also, once a week use an intensive conditioner to try and repair/mend ur ends.

its good u get ur hair cut regulary - you shud cut your hair every 6-8 weeks, this promotes healthly %26amp; long hair growth. if you leave ur hair with out trimming it becomes lank %26amp; brittle and thats how ur hair beings to spilt, so having it cut keeps it freash.

good luck!

well you should try the hot oil treatments, and deep conditioning. that should help control the frizzyness and shorten the dead ends.

I want the exact same thing!

But, I have very long hair at the moment because of clip in extensions. The run from 50 dollars to 200 dollars. But I talked to my hairdresser, and she said that the 80 dollar ones were perfect, no need to spend the extra money! So i got them and they are so easy to use. You just sew them into the clips and clip them into your hair, it looks so natural.

I love having my hair short, but i love love love long hair, so all i do is pop in a few extensions. And best of all..? NO DAMAGE!

do not use WALMART or GROCERY STORE shampoo! if i were you i'd use a repairing shampoo like BROCATO CLOUD 9 or for a more affordable product try PAUL MITCHELL SUPER STRONG. always use conditioner and if you blow dry and flat iron make sure to use a heat protector. all of these will assist in helping your hair be healthier. and if you go every month and get just the ends trimmed you will not have to cut so much off!

Use L'oreal Paris' VIVEpro NutriGloss.

This restores hair's shine and texture(you are experiencing coarse dry hair, you want hair like glass.)

Also shampoo every OTHER day and leave in conditioner for 20 minutes and rinse out with ICE cold water. Seals the hair's cuticle and makes it smoother.

Hair issues. HELP! Easy 10 pts?

I have to agree with the moisturizing conditioner (except only on the ends, not always on your head at the root), My favorite heat protectant is Super Skinny by Paul Mitchell it has worked for me and I have long hair that I straighten. It is the best one I have found. I quit using it for awhile because I ran out and could not get to the salon. It made a huge difference in my hair. I will not go without it ever again. I put about five small squirts in my hands, start at the ends and work up while damp and then just one squirt when dry to manage the fly-aways etc. I also let my hair air dry and can go at least a day in between washings when it is straight.I just do a quick touch up to keep it looking fresh.

once washed try rinsing your hair in cold water use less conditioner and a natural shampoo/conditioner made with natural oils and ingredients this maybe expensive but you sound like your desperate! lol after that wen you get the dry ends don't cut them of immediately let them grow also if you straighten your hair cut down on it and your last solution is to get some extentions lol and if you don't want to do that ask your hairdresser hope Ive helped !!! xx good luck ! xx
