....Hair help?

Ok my hair is naturally medium brown. Right now i have blonde highlights (but they kinda got over-done so it almost looks like i partially dyed my hair blonde lol) ok but umm in a couple months i was thinking of dying my hair a brownish-red color (kinda like dark auburn with less red). I was wondering, if i kept the highlights, would the hair color come out looking diff. colors in some spots since some of my hair is brown and some is blonde? Should i get rid of the highlights or can they stay?? and plz dont answer if you dont know.....becuz i dont just want neone guessing.

unfortunatly there i no easy way to go about things. to get rid of the highlights you will need to fill the highlights first with a colour 2 shades lighter than your target shade. it will need to be a copper gold colour with a base level of a 6. that only needs to me on for 5 - 10 mins. then apply the neww colour all over the hair. if you dont fill first the highlighted parts will be lighter than the rest of the hair. to keep the highlights. you will need to section out the parts of the hair you want to keep blonde and colour the rest.

you can color over it and the highlights will "pop" back through but theyll take the color also (just lighter) so they will look natural. if you dont want to keep them then youll need a filler before you color and will probably have to go to a salon so as not to risk an unwanted result

if you keep the blonde highlights and dye your hair, people will notice that there are two different hair colors or tones. you can try leaving them on if they were dyed not bleached because the color fades. sometimes the hair will come out looking like a light and medium tone and they match very well but its better not to risk it. try it on a weekend and see how it comes out.

well i streaked my hair with bleach so it looked like yours. i've had it like that for about 3 months, and last week i died it reddish, and for me where the highlights are the color was alot more intense, but i used color pulse, not permanent stuff for the red so it will probably have different results from garnier or something.

if you put just a color over top of the highlights, then you will still see them somewhat. your hair needs to be color filled and then you could put the darker on.

just remeber if you were to put the same 2 colors on 2 different people (your natural and your highlighted hair) the color is never the same. your final result would be uneven. besides, your hair may grab the undertone of the color that is being put on it if it is not color filled.

don't try this at home, it is a complicated process and needs to be done correctly.
