Dyeing Hair?

I've never dyed my hair before (only highlighted twice), and I've been thinking about dyeing my hair for a couple of weeks now.

I'm a beginner, so if anyone could give me some information on dyeing hair, it'll be great. And I also have some questions..

1. Can you dye your hair at the salon, and get it curled, permed, etc on the same day?

2. Are there any dyes that will last longer than Semi- permanent dyes, but not totally permanent (preferably a couple of months?)

3. Can you add different shades/ tones also? Or do you have to go to the salon again?

Also if you have some recommended hair products or anything, feel free to share.

And if it helps, I have natural black hair and I want to dye it like this ..

Thnxs a bunch :)

Dyeing Hair?

1- no would not be able to dye and perm your hair on the same day. two different products. it will ruin your hair. if you want it curly i would recomand to curl it yourself for atleast 2-3 weeks.

2- semi permanent dye doesnt give the same effect as permanent. the color in semi will fade quicker then the permanent, i would say if you want something nice to go for the Permanent.

3-you can deff get different tons in your hair. they will have to do high lights all over your head with different colours. for you to have the colours in the picture you posted up. the will have to high light and bleach then dye. because your hair is black.

Just after you dye your hair. use deep conditioning in your hair it will keep it healthy and have less brakage .

Good luck hope your hair looks awsome

Dyeing Hair?

i would go to a professional. it looks like the hair is a hint of red and since you said you have black hair, any at home product might not take in your hair. you can dye your hair then get it styled. red also washes out quicker than other colors so you may have to touch it up more than every couple of months. you also have to think of your regrowth (your roots). depending on how fast your hair grows, you might have to see your stylist sooner. you can always add lowlights or highlights while you get your hair dyed. that is why you should see a professional. they can talk about all of your color options. hope that helps. ive been every color you can imagine and the professional colors always look better.

Dyeing Hair?

The best tip I can give you is to go see a professional...getting the right result from a box is like pullin' teeth..and it doesn't help that you have the hardest natural color to do anything with.

1. you can color your hair with a semi-permanent color and have it permed in the same day...both need to be done by the pro though

2. there is a such thing as demi-permanent that lasts 6-8 wks.

3. the picture you have can only be achieved by using a permanent color because the pic. is lighter than your natural. semi or demi permanent colors have no ability to lighten the hair, just deposit or darken.

...again..see a professional and bring the pic with you-you'll get a great end result and you have the option to do the different tones if you wanted. but be warned, find a reputable place after talking to a few friends maybe, don't just go to any mall salon and think it's going to come out like that haha

good luck
