Hair situation...?

well, i have long, naturally blonde, slightly thin hair. i like my hair, but in the part few years its been getting VERY greasy. like, i would take a shower one night, then by the end of the next day, my hair would start getting greasy. and the annoying part is my mom won't let me wash my hair everyday. My questions are:

Why is it like this?

Are there any hair products out there that help it? (and i dont want any homemade recipes cuz i dont feel like experimenting)

Hair situation...?

Your mom is right - washing your hair more often will cause damage, and won't help your problem - your scalp produces more oils if you wash more often.

If you sprinkle cornstarch or talc into your hair it can soak up the grease a bit, then brush it out. (This sounds like a homemade recipe, but it does work!)

A clarifying shampoo might help keep your hair cleaner. Don't use a really harsh shampoo, as this will just cause your scalp to produce oils.

If you use conditioner, only apply it to the ends of your hair, not near the scalp as this can cause greasy spots, and make sure you rinse it out thouroughly.

sunsilk!! and it works!!

Hair situation...?

use a shampoo for greasy/oily hair,

Hair situation...?

i used to have VERY VERY greasy hair and now i don't anymore cause i switched my shampoo to PANTENE Pro-v CLASSIC CLEAN and it really helped me.

hope that helps...:-D

Hair situation...?

Try a bit of powder/Or bedhead(This can be found in any drugstore). Just make sure you get it all the way through so it can't be seen. That will soak up the extra oils you have.

Hair situation...?

my hair used to be like that. i used paul mitchell shampoo 2. it really helped. i now use aussie. i like that too. aussie is a little bit cheaper but paul mitchell prob. works better.

Hair situation...?

I suggest using a Suave Clarifying Shampoo %26amp; conditioner. It will help. Also try not touching your hair because the natural oils on you hands will get on your hair.

Good Luck! =]

Hair situation...?

how old r u???? if ur anywhere from 11-, then, ur hair wil need 2 b washed everyday. might i suggest washing it in the mornings, that way, its always washed during the day, and it doesnt matter wat it looks lyk at night. tel ur mom y u want 2 wash ur hair everyday. shell understand that when u get in2 puberty, ur hair gets more oily, and u need 2 wash it everyday. i wash my hair everyday, and it looks GREAT. but, when i dont wash it, even if i skip 1 day, it looks TERRIBLE, and oily.

Hair situation...?

It's probably an affect of puberty. Try using baby powder, it works. Just put some baby powder at the top of your head, comb it, then blowdry. Hope that helps! :)

Hair situation...?

When you are young you dont produce as much oil in your hair so you could go almost a week without washing it. When you hit your teens/early 20s you will need to wash your hair much more often. I wash mine everyday. I CAN go two days but it starts to look dirty in the middle of day 2. I prefer to wash it daily. I use Dove. Said to be weightless clean.

Hair situation...?

Try Lush shampoo for natural blonds (the yellow one with chamomile). My hair look perfect "clean" for 2-3 days.

P.s. don't confuse it with a viola one in the bottle (it sux).

Hair situation...?

The first chick who answered "Sunsilk" .. I agree 100% with her , there products are wonderful ! .. give em a try !

Hair situation...?

Well I would guess it has to do with your body changing... did you recently hit puberty? As we grow our body changes... and right now your scalp is creating more oil than it did in the past. It also might be due to the summer heat... as for your mom not letting you wash your hair daily... this is such a myth! It won't damage your hair... I have thin hair which tends to be greasy and if I don't wash it daily it looks gross. I am guessing your mom lets you shower daily... and doesn't watch you so why not just wash your hair! If that does work this is a homemade remedy but it truly works! When I don't have time to wash my hair I lightly sprinkle baby powder on it to take away the greasyness. Just sprinkle it on and then brush it out... you may need to blow dry it some to blow off any extra powder. They also make dry shampoo which is basically baby powder in an aerosal can. Some stores even make it in colors to match your hair so you don't have that white problem from the powder. I hope that works... if not sit down with your mom and discuss with her how you are feeling and that you would like to try washing your hair daily to see if that helps! I hope I was some help... good luck!

Hair situation...?

Hey! If you are over 9 years old, it's not healthy to wash your hair for less than every day! Condition it, sunsilk it I dunno! But tell your mom that it aint healthy to not wash it every day! Starting at 10 I washed mine twince a day so my parents limited me to once! And maybe because you've done a lot of swimming this summer. You need to get the salt or clorine out of it! Thin hair gets really greasy so stop using hair gel and stuff like that!

Hair situation...?

Blow drying usually helps me. I have blonde hair also and i know that it doesnt take much for it to look greasy. I would say not to run your fingers through it at all, try blow drying and dont use conditioner everytime you wash, cut it down to every other wash. Also, neutrogena T-Gel is good for that problem and i also agree with the sun-silk, that stuff works pretty good.

Hair situation...?

Because of being young and your hormones changing.

What is up with your mom want let you wash your hair everyday? Lots of people do, that is crazy.
