Pool hair... YUCK!?

I'm a platform diver and my hair is full of chlorine that I can't get out completely unless I don't dive for a long time. When my hair dries, it sticks together and is all crunchy, like I've put a load of hairspray on it. And when I touch my hair with a wet hand, my hand sticks to my hair.

How can I get more chlorine out of my hair?

How can I prevent "sticky hair?"

Swimming cap and trust me leave in vinegar for ten minutes! It might stink but you hair will be so smooth and nice after wards! I do it three days in a row every week and I love it!

you can where a diving cap or swimming cap.i dont know what you call them,but its what all divers wear to cover their whole hair and to keep it dry.

I'm sure you've already tried all the chlorine removing shampoos out there.

Maybe get a Malibu at your local salon.

I am a swimmer and a hair dresser. First you should use a clarifying shampoo to strip alot of that chlorine out. Before you dive, put some hydrating conditioner in your hair when it is dry. The conditioner gets in your hair and "fills it up", so when the chlorine gets to your hair, it has nowhere to go!

You must deep condition your hair with any leave-in treatment try tresemme rich moisture followed by the conditioner you can also leave that conditioner in. You will need a rinse set that will take all the chlorine right out its a good investment specially for you since you do something productive.

I think there are hair conditioners out there that you can apply before you go into the water. Go to a beauty supply store and ask the clerk. I know when I use to go into a pool everyday I use to spray on a protective leave-on conditoiner.

There are plenty of products on the market that should help.
