Do Soft Foam Hair Curlers Damage Your Hair?

I was wondering if soft foam hair curlers damage your hair. I'm not talking about the ones that are cylinder shaped; I'm talking about the ones that are basically a soft foam pillow inside white fabric that ties around your hair after you roll your hair around it. Sorry if that was confusing. Im talking about these:http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.j...

I was wondering if they would damage my hair if I used them or if only heat related hair styling products do the damage. I saw these at Target and I liked them a lot because since they are made with foam, I can sleep comfortably in them and since it doesn't use heat, it wouldn't damage my hair. Please help! Your feedback is GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!

Also- what are some good curlers that do not damage your hair?

thank you so much!

Soft foam rollers are pretty safe for you hair. Just avoid rolling them too tight. If you roll them really tight against your scalp, you risk having some hair pulled out as you move around in your sleep.

There are also pink ones w/ a plastic frame than you snap closed - make sure not to roll a wide section of hair on them because it will get caught in the plastic frame tear a few hairs.
