So, this might be really disgusting.... but I don't care. :)
I have SUPER thick hair and here recently I dyed it... a lot... which I know I shouldn't have done. Okay, so I now that I admitted that screw up, here's what I'm wondering:
On the crown of my head my hair feels really tangly... and now matter how much conditioner or hot oil I use, it still feels gross. I know, I know, gross hair is expected from dying your hair a lot in such a short period of time... but is it normal after committing that crime to have hair that feels really tangly?
Side Note: My mom is makes comments like, "I'm loosing my hair!" but really, she's not... and she has super thick hair, too. I kind of feel like I'm taking on that mentality. Haha...
Dyed Hair...?
let Head and Shoulders 2 in 1 hair stuff sit in ur hair 4 like 5 minutes
Dyed Hair...?
if you've damaged your hair its goign to feel gross for ages. my hair was super blonde back when i was around 16 and i used to get it dyed with ridiculous amounts of peroxide. one day my hairdress was like 'is that hurting ur haid?' but id grown so used to it i couldnt feel it lol. hair things can be so damaging, u have to be so careful! give it a few weeks and see how it is (use conditioner a fair bit) and if it persists go talk to your hairdresser.
Dyed Hair...?
uh! I have dark dark dark brown hair almost black and i dyed my underneath layer last year.. i dyed it blonde and it seemed like no matter what i did it felt dry and tangley. But then I got tresemme MOISTURIZING conditioner and shampoo and it helped so much, now the blonde is part of my hair%26lt;3
try it, it will work! i promise(:
also.. you can get a deep conditioning conditoner and use it
2 times a week if your hair is really damaged
then once it starts getting better use it less and less
hope this helps

Dyed Hair...?
I'd talk to a hairdresser.
They can help damaged hair, deep conditioning, etc. they know. it might take some money, but maybe you'd get some around the holidays.
Sorry about that, don't do it again! %26lt;3
happy holidays, good luck!
Dyed Hair...?
ok, here comes some hair theory, so prepare yourself. Coloring your hair with a permanent color opens a scale on your hair called the cuticle. No big deal, any permanent service like a perm, color, highlights, chemical straightener, flat ironing damp hair, ect. does this. However, doing this often, which you said you've done, doesn't give your hair enough time to bounce back, the cuticle needs time to close and be shiny and healthy again. Repeated processing blasts that cuticle WIDE open, so if you looked at your hair under microscope, it would look more like velcro rather then flat scales like on a fish. Flat ones are what lead to silky, shiny, slippery hair, the velcro-esque ones stick right out and cause your hair to tangle, stick together, dry out, and get knotted to hell. Every body's hair is different so without seeing your hair i cant say how long you should wait between colorings/processes. The only thing you can do to try and aid the situation is get a SMOOTHING product, to try and slick those scales back down. Most smoothing conditioners have lots of moisture, as with your cuticle blasted open, your hair cant hold moisture inside, so it needs to be replaced. Moisture products will aid in the short term, but a few hours after your wash and style your hair youll probably notice it get all dry and tangly again, as moisture is deposited in your hair with the conditioner, but with the cuticle open it can't be held in there for any length of time. That being said, some moisture products coat your hair with oils and conditioners acting as a quasi cuticle, holding in moisture. these arent good as they can build up and cause your hair to be greasy and dull. try matrix sleek look, biolage smooththerape, or redken all soft, or their smooth down. they will really help your hair get back on track. only use semi or demi permanent colors till it gets back to being somewhat healthy, NO BLEACH! none, for a long time. bleach is really abrasive on the cuticle, it can burn it right off, really ******* up your hair. Stick with whatever shampoo your using if your pressed for cash, but atleast get a conditioner from the lines I mentioned, you'll be on the road to recovery in a few weeks. stay away from strong hold products, they have lots of alcohol in them which hinders the recovery process, it locks the cuticle in its open phase. So avoid gels and hairspray, no bleach or permanent color for awhile, using smoothing creams and serums to protect and style your hair, and get atleast a good conditioner, ideally the shampoo to match, but not as necessary.
