Static hair..driving me nutz, help!?

I have really fine hair and in the winter time it always goes static; no matter what I wear or how much conditioner I use.

I tried the frizz control shampoo(fructise) and it worked great a first but the static still comes back when I try to wear my hair down.

Any advice...I have tried all the shampoos and even some of the conditioners make my hair greasy if I continue using them too long. :(

Any advice...thanks!

It's called Static Guard. I have used it for years.

It works on lots of things but for your hair you just spray a little on to your brush or comb and go from there.

Try using a shine spray or a bit of hairspray after your hair is dry. That should help.

you know, this may sound crazy, but my gfs mom uses static guard. she too has fine hair, but keeps it under control with that, it also acts as a hairspray.

I have the same problem in the winter. The best thing to use is a heat protecting spray (Suave has a good one that costs only about $2). Don't use too much, just a few sprays will do.

keep it wet and put it up

I find Wella Shock Waves styling wax is good. If you put a little bit on your hair not too thickly it seems to calm it down and prevents it from going static. Also gives hair a nice sleek look.

You could also try straightening your hair.

Spritz a little bit of static guard on your hairbrush, and then brush your hair. It helps.

(Don't worry, it even says on the can that you can do that. Just don't *soak* the hairbrush with it.)

Try using Alberto VO5 Hairdressing

try friz-eez and also for a quick fix you can take a dryer sheet(fabric softner sheet) and rub it over your hair( i know it sounds weird but it works) don't rub it on too hard though or it will make your hair greasy

So this is going to sound weird...But carry a dryer sheet with you. Anytime you feel your hair starting to get static-y just rub it on your hair. (Plus it makes it smell good lol!) It really works, its a LIFE SAVER!
