without any research I was desperate enough to trust a woman who used the hot fusion method to apply extensions to my hair. It looked great at first, but the hair was incredibly heavy and would dry out in a matter of days. I had to continue to go back to the salon Anyway, I had them removed after a month of wear and was DEVASTATED by the results. My hair was twice as thin as it was before the application! I wore clip ins to disguise the damage. It is now over a year later and what has really seemed to help was a layered cut. However, the under layers are still very broken, short and somewhat sparse.I do not have any bald spots except some areas around my temples which are only noticible when my hair is greasy and pulled back tightly.I am currently taking gnc omega multivitamin for women (active) ultranourish hair and 1200 mg of extra biotin daily. I have began to apply doo grow to temple balm. Has anyone else been through this? What did you do? How long did it take for recovery?
Hair breakage :(?
Your stylist must not know what she is doing, because I do fused extensions and they never cause breakage when they are done right. Sorry to hear that.
It sounds like you are doing the right things...keeping your hair conditioned, taking vitamins, etc. I would suggest not wearing your hair pulled back into ponytails though. Fragile hair breaks easily from repeated ponytails. If you are using a flat iron, don't.
Keep your hair trimmed. You don't want your hair to start splitting, and keeping it trimmed will prevent that.
Hair grows at 1/2 inch a month (balms, creams, etc...don't usually work).
Good luck and stay patient...it will get better.
Hair breakage :(?
You should try some Redken Anti-snap, buy it at any salon!
Hair breakage :(?
yes .... and when it did I began to wear braids and got away from the chemicals for a while and it really helped to regrow my hair... In a book I'm currently reading it says that it takes about 24 months to grow you hair back out.... but taking biotin like you do %26amp; massaging you scalp 5-10 minutes everyday to help stimulate you growth could speed that process up a bit.
hope this helps:-)
Hair breakage :(?
i feel so bad, but try not to take the medicines you should try some herbal medicine or shampoo. get it checked!
Hair breakage :(?
I take biotin 5000 mg and it works great, maybe step it up to that to get it growing faster. also stay away from ANY heat damage. Go natural
